It's perfect for what it is: a good lunch spot or a light, economical dinner. Nothing fancy, just good food. Dishes to recommend are: 1. the broccoli salad with palm hearts. Nice flavor combinations and yet very filling. 2. The steak frites, which was really a thick filet mignon. A very sizable portion, so only order if you're hungry. 3. The salmon with curry sauce. Creamy and very tasty. Service is friendly as well. They seem to be open every day from lunch until late at night.

For lunch buffet we paid about US$25 and we pigged out so much!! They have a good salad bar as well as decent cooked-to-order meat selections. Considering the price, this place offers great value! $25 might sound steep for lunch but you will quickly learn that Brazil isn't that cheap at all..... You can easily spend $60-$80 at an average churrascaria (for dinner) in Rio which is probably how much we pay in NY too! From Copacabana it's about 15 min cab ride. Check it out if you are in Rio!

We got our food by phone order. We got 3 meals for 4 people and it was delivered right to our door. They charge a $5,95 (reais)delivery charge so be aware of that. Also the meal cost overall was $74 reais We ordered a meat plate combo with black beans, fries, one fried egg, the meat and crazy rice. Now I need to explain a little more about 2 items here, however first as a disclaimer be aware that most of the food here have little to no salt, I am not completely sure why but yes almost no salt. Now here are the 2 items I wanna elaborate on: CRAZY RICE- this thing is pretty good. It is white rice with a bunch of stuff mixed into it, onions, peas, carrots, raisings and seasoning, but keep in kind that you can request to have any of these items removed from the rice during the prep time for your order. THE MEAT- we asked for it to be cooked medium well to well. It can very over cooked and to cut it was difficult as it was very rubbery. I was not greatly impressed with their meal overall. Sadly the food is all that I have from this place to make my impression and in the end the food foes not make me wanna come visit the actual restaurant.

The staff was friendly and the beer cold, but I left totally unimpressed with the food. I tried a carne seca acebolada with fried mandioca, but a) the meat was way too salt, b) the mandioca was of the processed variety, and c) the onions had been cut and briefly heated but not been given any time at all to soften. Meh meh meh.

This restaurant is tourist friendly as they have a menu in English for those who cannot read Portuguese. Our waiter came and took our drink orders. We asked about the special that night and the price. The waiter did not know so he left to ask. He eventually returned with our drinks and still did not know the about the special. Fast forward fifteen minutes and finally returns with the details. We ordered the special, rabbit with a savory sauce topped with mashed potatoes, and heart of palm spaghetti with shrimp. A table opened up inside so we were seated inside by the manager (whom happened to speak English). The decor of the restaurant is similar to the hipster style of the United States. The ambiance is relaxed. But maybe a little too relaxed as it took an additional hour for our food to arrive. We had finished our first drinks and ordered another round since the food was taking so long. There was no shortage of waiters so I assume there was an issue in the kitchen. The traditional caipirinha was strong but tasty, and one of the house mixed wine and fruit drinks was very good. Finally our food arrives, and it looks wonderful. Both meals tasted delicious with well portioned sizes. The food was delicious enough for us to forgive most of the slow slow service. Overall, we had a good experience and will come back despite the bad service. I definitely recommend this place to taste some of the finer Brazilian cuisine, but be prepared to spend at least 2+ hours there.
