Stopped in on August 9th at 4:39am to get gas as we were headed to the airport in Destin. I paid for $50 in gas for my rental but, only needed $18.01. I asked, Ray if I should come back in if I do not use the entire amount? He said yes. Because sometimes it will put it back on your card, and sometimes it willnot. After pumping my gas, he wasn't able to print me a receipt for the $18.01 that I had pumped. But I had my original receipt for the $50 credit I paid him. He then showed me the screen on the register that didn't show my transaction. I had to leave to get to the airport. But I took a picture of the pump, the pump ID number, as well as the name and location of the store. I believe this is some sort of hustle by this guy. I was just in there coming from Arizona the absolute worst custom service! Older white woman maybe 65-70. The worst customer service I have ever received in my life! I asked her how her day was all she said was "i.d now" I told her I do not want to purchase anything from here & continued to walk out the store & followed me & watched me! She is absolutely horrible & the worst place I have ever received customer service! Called & made a complaint to to corporate! I hope she gets fired immediately! Interesting that an employee parks their vehicle up front in a prime spot while customers are crammed into the small parking lot trying to find a place. We've been here a while waiting out the rain and shaking our heads. This tiny gas station/ store has a good selection of food but prices are high. Parking is scarce. There is more parking on the lot behind the store but nobody realizes it. The employees should park there. read more

Tom the clerk, a grumpy old guy who can't even apologize when he fox up. Totally lost my business today! He served a couple of drunk teenagers who jumped the line and were served with more alcohol without even being carded. When confronted he gave an attitude like no other. He must have not like me cause I was no blonde with blue eyes and had an accent. Oh well just keep up the "good job" Tomas, I'm sure your making your employer really proud. read more

Great little gas station is always busy so be prepared to wait whether it's for gas a soda or anything like that. It's got a great selection of everything hot food sandwich is a great coffee soda and iced tea area. They are in a super convenient location for people coming and going from the 98 Highway and Santa Rosa Beach area. I love the people here ... the people behind the counter are always really friendly and polite I don't see a reason to give this place less Stars simply because everybody and their brother decides to stop at this place at the same time all the time every day LOL. Virginia maybe had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Yelling at customers and trying to start confrontations with people paying to go there. The fact that y'all continue to employ this women is losing you money. Really disappointed as I expected much more from Tom Thumb. read more

Most moveing and emotional experience I have ever had. I went in paid for our gas started gather a few snacks, going to pay with my EBT card (due to family situation we had to move back home to take care of my mother) the lady behind the counter took my card it was declined. She apologized I ask her to hold my stuff while I check, while I was checking she came out to make sure we where ok. I went back in to get a cup of ice and a drink, I told her they didn't come on til the 4th. She took my hand and came around and hugged me and told me her name was Virginia and told me it was going to be all right she then took her personal card out of her case and paid for the items I had originally picked up, as tear roll down my face I asked her if I could hug her again, she came around and hugged me again and handed me a 50$ bill and said that's from our wonderful Savior God. I told her I would be back through in a couple of days to see her, she said not to repay me cause all that was from "him" our amazing God. I have not seen or even hear of so much comparision it a very long time God send us angles in our time of need weather it need may be finicial, or just to be reminded that's God's angles are here. Today I meet face to face one of God's angles her name is Virginia at the Tom Thumb. Ms. Virginia you are truly a blessing to this world where there is so much hate, and despare. I'm 24 years old and the employee (found out his name was Craig) wouldnt even check my ID, just refused to sell me any tobacco because "he felt he would be doing something illegal." Sent my boyfriend out with the same reason and the girl in line in front of me without even looking at their IDs either. I even told him I'm 6 years above the legal age and had multiple forms of ID to prove it but he still sent me away. I understand not feeling comfortable AFTER youve checked someones ID but just refusing to sell to anyone as soon as they approach the counter is insane...i know the 3 people he sent away within 5 minutes didn't lose the company tons of money, but the company should consider how much money they are losing over time. I guess I should take it as a compliment but age discrimination isn't so great when you just want what you SHOULD BE legally able to obtain. read more
