The school offers much more than just music lessons, it's a community of young musicians and teachers who really care about their students' growth. They love music and you really feel that they care about instilling the same passion in your child. The school constantly offers fun initiatives and events that bring the kids together. Other than a month or two of piano when I was 10, I've never played an instrument. So, I was as raw as it gets and to top it off, I'm not an artistic type. In other words, I was probably the worst type of student possible. But, Jim is a patient, laid back, intuitive teacher. If one teaching method isn't quite clicking for me one week, he'll try another method. Also, I travel quite a bit for work and Jim is very flexible in scheduling lessons. There is none of this "every Tuesday at 7PM" type of thing. I schedule my lessons on an ad hoc basis as my schedule allows and Jim is always able to accommodate. Learning the banjo is one of the most challenging things I've done and Jim is making it possible and more importantly, enjoyable.

I am in agreement with others as well as Ms. Clara and Ms. Amy, music is critical to children's growth! Highly recommend!
