It was sooooo relaxing I think I could stay in there all day! When you arrive for your appointment they will give you booties to put on over your socks and a hair net for your hair. There are cubbies for your personal belongings and then they take you back. My daughter and I went together so we were in the large group room. It's so relaxing. There are reclining chairs (like beach chairs) and you can sit in them or if you want you can actually sit in the salt. The rooms floor is covered in salt and it's heated. Rhyan actually laid in it for the first part of our session. The room is so peaceful and there is salt pumped in through the air as well. They give you a blanket and bring you two incredibly warm salt stones. Rhyan used hers on her back, I placed on my lower back and one under my neck while I stretched out in the chair. I'm pretty sure within 10 min I was totally zoned out and was able to really just almost feel the tension releasing from my body. After relaxing in the salt for a while Rhyan curled up in a chair and fell asleep. We both agreed afterwards that our sinuses felt much better and we were very relaxed. We plan to make this a weekly thing before her voice lessons just to de stress and open our sinuses and our senses! You can purchase all sorts of salt lamps and goodies in the lobby, too! I picked up some outstanding peppermint lip balm that I highly recommend. It fixed my chapped lips over night!

I had a stroke at the end of March 2024; She came to my rehab facility and then my home when I was released from rehab. I firmly believe that the deep muscle massage helped in my recovery of function in my left leg, arm and hand. Just this last month after my therapy I had what I would call a miraculous improvement in my left hand. Up to that time my hand at rest would be clenched in a fist, but after therapy that day I noticed my hand was open at rest without me consciously trying. Ann is a wonderful person. I am sorry that I did not get the gentleman's name who assisted, but he was helpful in getting me set up, and leading back out of the building. I do want to bring attention to Briana. She was the Technician who set me up for the Sleep Study, and took me through it, start to finish. Briana explained every step of what would take place, and answered any question I had. It is a bit daunting to have to go through any medical testing, and it helps to feel at ease. Briana provided the information regarding every step of the procedure, which helps you to not be left wondering. In the morning Briana woke me, and advised me that a Doctor would review the results of my Study, and send the findings to my Primary Care Physician within two weeks. My Primary Care Physician should contact me to discuss, and to contact my Primary Care Physician if I do not hear from them. For a night spent with wires stuck to my head, and all over my body, including a wire type thing strapped under my nose to monitor my breathing, it wasn't totally unpleasant thanks to Briana, and the staff at Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital.
