I never received the vials, so I called to explain the situation and asked for assistance. To my knowledge, I hadn't confirmed anything, and I certainly didn't receive the vials. However, they only seemed concerned about charging me and showed no interest in whether I actually received the product or not. It would have been considerate for them to at least question why I never showed up, but instead, their priority was solely on ensuring they got paid.

After a few years, my doctor suggested I might have allergies so I tried to self-medicate. That worked until a disastrous trip to meet my fiance's extended family ended with me suffering an awful sinus headache from being outside so much. A few weeks later, I was off my meds and at Academy for allergy tests. Unfortunately the first round of tests didn't show much. I was disheartened until I found out that, basically, after the age of 25, we have been exposed to so much that the lower dose in the first round of testing doesn't show much. BUT, if I were to have an extreme allergy, a higher dose would have caused an unwelcome reaction. Reluctantly, I pressed on, paying out of pocket because this went towards my deductible. The second round of testing involved approximately 60 shots, applied on both arms. Thankfully the nurses kept me talking about whatever we talked about. They weren't normal shots, per se, but they did sting. Finally, I had results. I have allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis and allergies to a few types of grass and mold. After changing my meds and adding some nasal sprays didn't bring about the desired results, the nurse practitioner recommended allergy shots. Oh what a difference! I am on maintenance now (and very well could be for a few years) and, although I take claritin twice a day, use my nasal sprays and take another med, I am at least functional. I can be outside with minimal side effects. Yes, I still feel it if I am outside for a prolonged period of time, but it's an annoyance now, not debilitating. If you think you have allergies, I urge you to seek out the services of an allergist. It is a long process but it is so, so worth it to be relived of the suffering I felt for so many years! (And that includes going on a cruise while covered in arm bumps from the testing!)

They are kind, while also going quickly to get everyone through their shots in a quick matter of time. They have a great system for knowing how far back in line you are after you check in, and to let you know how much longer you have to wait after your shots before you can leave. (You have to wait 30 mins after your shot, to make sure you don't have a bad reaction.) They have a screen with abbreviated names on it to let you know how long you have to wait. It is a great system! I highly recommend this place as far as visits. I don't know on cost if it is comparable to other places, as I don't know the usual costs. I will say it is not cheap, especially if your insurance is not as helpful as you expected it to be, like what is happening with me.

I can agree with two of the three reviews that I read for this business. The initial visit was…read moregood, and Dr.Wang and staff are all very kind, but at times, I do feel rushed and as if we're being run through a high-profit patient mill. We've met in rooms not intended for patient care (such as a lab where patient samples are kept) and while I appreciate the effort to get us in and out quickly, I can't help but to feel as if steps are being skipped and drugs are being pushed rather than researching the root cause of the condition. With that being said, the nurses and office staff have been very flexible with scheduling and helpful in regards to obtaining medications where the patient must be in direct contact with the manufacturer. We appreciate the care received but are a bit disappointed that we still don't know the cause.

They didn't want to work with me. I'm on a limits income. With a adult Autistic child. Paying apartment rent. Either those shots or my apartment. It was the shots I gave up. I started paying $50 a month. Got paid down to $800. Started getting nasty letters, text. That they were going to turn me in collections. I called them. They told me. If I don't sit up a payment plan. Even I was paying $50 a month with them. They still going to turn me into collections. That is not right. Also, had them paid down to $800. Went back up to $1192.

I`d been with them for YEARS, and was taking allergy shots EVERY week, and someone FINALLY asked me, why I was taking shots every week, wasn`t I ready to move forward to taking shots every other week? I said, I was well beyond ready to take shots less frequently...why hadn`t someone let me know that I was ready to make that change? GEEEZ! Most recently, I`ve had MULTIPLE instances when I`ve gone into the Avon office to get shots, scanned my card to notify them that I`m there, and had people walk in the door AFTER I`ve been there, checked in and waiting, and they take these newcomers AHEAD of ME! MY time matters too! I had this issue just this afternoon, and did what I always do in this case, I walked out. Time will tell if I stay with this group, but if things stay as they are, it`s NOT likely.
