Go in and look and sniff around. The smell and view of all those different herbs and colours is amazing and brings back memories of ancient times.. You can find any kind of 'international' flavours, herbs, different kind of salts and peppers, flowers, food colouring, rose waters, nuts, dades (you have to try the fresh dades from Iran!!! those are really fresh and a bit juicy), tea, rice, couscous, noodles, curry pastes, cookies, honey, sugar crystals, nougat and more. The owners (from Iran) are also very friendly and if you're looking for something they are happy to help, the prices are quite 'normal' to inexpensive.

Don't expect anything more than a cafeteria due to location. The menu obviously isn't crazy big with that representation and what they do is done pretty well in my humble option. It was packed on a Friday night when we went so must be a hit with the locals. The only table left was right next to the kitchen which got pretty hot. We could however look out into the Markthal. We got there about 8pm and it closed at 9pm but the waitress was upfront about that and that we were the last people able to order. That's just what we wanted as wanted to get out in the town. We had Asahi beer with a very generous portion of Edamame beans with nice flakes of sea salt. Yakitori chicken - this was thighs not crispy skins but tasty. Siu mai dumplings which are always a hit with me. Bapao rund and Char Siu bao. These were a bit doughy for my tastes but tasty and good value. Everything tasted good and the service was good too. We shared Crispy pork belly with boy choi for €7.50 too. I'd go back :)

I went to Rotterdam to go see this light show and happened to walk by this supermarket and it was pretty big so I knew they'd have good selection. My oh my did it! I found all my favorites and bought a few of everything. They also had fruittips in black currant which they no longer sell it San Francisco and people would have their friends bring it back from trips to HK. Well they sold it here and I empty a box of the last few tubes in my basket! Can't believe I found a place that has fruittips!!!

They also carry cheese from other countries. But you're in the Netherlands, why would you wanna buy French cheese here? I didn't know about this shop at first, but it was recommended by my Airbnb host in den Haag. I told her about our intention to visit Gouda and find some cheese, then she told us why go there when there's a cheese shop just around the corner? The guy there was friendly to help us with the selection. He even offered samples from whatever cheese you wanna try. Of course you can't be ridiculous. He recommended plain Gouda without any herbs and spice because that's the best way to taste the cheese, but I'm not really a purist and I ended up falling in love with their fenugreek (medium aged) Gouda. Omg so good, nutty, creamy and tastes a bit like coffee! I have never seen fenugreek Gouda in the US so this is definitely one of a kind. Have a cheesy day!

Wonderful cheese shop with a mind-numbing array of traditional local cow and goat cheeses of…read morevarious ages and prices. They also have on display a wide range of less traditional flavored Gouda cheeses studded with seeds, herbs, truffles etc. Samples of EVERYTHING are set out for the taking, so if you're not careful it's easy to fill yourself up deciding which cheeses to buy. Any cheese can be cut or sliced to order, or vacuum sealed for easy transportation back home without need for refrigeration. Needless to say this shop is also beautiful, so it's a feast for the eyes as well.
