Wait six months between appointments for them to cancel your appointment at the last minute. And if…read moreyou do get in, they'll start working on all your teeth before they finish any of them, so you're stuck with years worth of unfinished work. They won't accept emergency visits so I had to pull a tooth myself after their root canal failed and my tooth broke. Then when I finally got in, it was only scheduled as a check up so no real work was done, and they didn't even notice that the tooth that was supposed to get a crown was now gone...

I've reluctantly been forced to update my review of Toiyabe's Bishop Clinic, particularly due to a…read morechange of location and a change of management, resulting in a rating of 3 stars, down from the previous 4 stars. The dental staff continue to shine, even with the change of scenery. If you need your pearly whites shined to perfection, ask for Delanie, the dental hygienist. She'll make sure your teeth shine! The dentists are awesome and are second to none. Full disclosure: I've not had much of any interaction with the medical clinic in Bishop, since having made the choice to go to the Line Pine Clinic. One of the reasons is that they're consistently loaded up, while the staff at the Lone Pine Clinic accommodate my requests quite handily and easily. Also, a severe turnover in medical providers in Bishop also made it an easy choice for me to continue going to Lone Pine. As for the Pharmacy, it is only open to Indigenous American patients. So if you're able to take advantage of this as an Indigenous American, I highly encourage you to do so. As for why my rating has been scaled back, the recent change in management due to what some have termed "interfering board decisions" has not resulted in a positive, harmonious relationship, which is apparent in many of the Bishop staff, unfortunately. When the decision was made to eliminate the Preventive Medicine Department altogether, no public announcement was made nor were any patients consulted on the potential impacts. Instead, it was left to the remaining staffers to inform the patients affected. Such a hastily made and carried-out decision comes across as a sign of ineffectual management, something which often results after a turnover in management. It is with a hope for positive changes in the future that I write this.

I have been doing Home Dialysis for almost a year now. It was quite an adjustment for me to go from…read morea normal life to requiring dialysis everyday. The home dialysis is the best option if you can qualify, and is very safe and efficient way to get the dialysis treatment you need. This type of dialysis is for people who can under directions, keep an open mind. You also need to be a clean and sanitary person to have do the best chance of success. The nurses there all highly trained professional with emphasis on sanitary practices, following instructions, and a learned ability to set up your own dialysis machine. They offer 24/7 support so you are never have guess on anything. Each person is assigned a nurse, I was assigned the Nurse named Daisy, who in all practical purposes is an expert. We meet once a week to review my dialysis, make adjustments, and get needed injections, blood draws etc. The expert PD staff teach self reliance, but with needed concern, and or short notice appointments if required. They monitor your progress using dialysis logs, blood tests, exams, and you even get to see Nephrologist at least once's month. They are well organized know what they are doing, and the oversight on them and me keeps 100% feeling confident. They extras such flu shots, help with prescriptions and other in clinic services are very helpful. Bottom line it's not easy to do any type of dialysis, but the staff at Davita Home Dialysis are extremely experienced. Daisy and Anita are true professionals who care about you as patient and person. They Treat your with respect, but sometimes they have to let you know if your doing something to jeopardize your health. The entire program can include just you, or family member if you think you may need assistance. Finally upon completion of training they will come out to inspect your home dialysis area making sure it's safe before you receive your equipment and supplies. I have good days and bad, but Thanks to Daisy my bad days become bearable and my good days become great days. I highly recommend this dialysis home unit, sac you will be happy . Get Outlook for iOS
