Craig Page was the leasing agent and our contact for the majority of the time (he left the company right after leasing the unit to us and then our contact was Mary Lee Nunez, but Craig came back and remained our contact for the remainder of our time living there). The apartment itself was the first floor of a duplex/house with a studio unit attached to the back. The good: it was spacious by San Diego standards, and had some character such as built ins and a non-working fireplace (Craftsman style, even though built in the 70s), and we had exclusive access to the driveway to tandem park our cars. Unfortunately, that's where the "good" ended. The building (and our unit) were not taken care of at all -- like, really basic things that any owner would want to do to prevent much larger and more expensive problems, this is only a sample of them. There were broken/missing locks on the windows (it was on the first floor). There was a pigeon problem at the property, and the people they sent out to fix it did a piss poor job. Once we returned home from a long weekend vacation to find termites inside our unit. Their solution? "Spray them with raid!" Water backing up into our tub? Temporary fix. The bathroom sink was super old and cracked and filled with brown gunk. Once while we were not home, the upstairs apartment's kitchen sink clogged because they were putting too much food down it (plus old pipes). Black dirty water backed up into our kitchen sink (where we had some pots and pans sitting), overflowed the sink, spilled all over the counter, cabinets below the sink, the kitchen floor and proceeded downhill into the dining room. We had a bunch of stuff ruined and I was left to clean up this toxic waste myself. They never contacted us about clean-up or anything. I sent an email to Mary telling her I was deducting $ from rent for cleaning supplies and the things that were ruined and I never heard back from her. Aside from the property's physical issues, we had problems with the other tenants. One of them would constantly let her dog out by itself in the shared back area (we had to walk through it to get to the driveway) and it would poop all over and she never picked it up. We couldn't leave out the back door of our apartment sometimes because her loose dog would stand at our back door jumping aggressively and on multiple occasions ran into our apartment when we tried to leave (the tenant would do nothing, just stand there waiting for me to bring her dog back out, if she was even outside at all.) Craig's response to this situation was to email me and tell me to have sympathy for her. The other tenant would frequently allow his friends and girlfriend to park in the driveway (which we had exclusive access to), without asking us if it was okay and not for any particular reason (which of course we would have let them use it temporarily if they had asked). When I contacted Craig about this he sent out an email to both of us (revealing my email w/out my permission); the other tenant then took my email address and used it for nefarious purposes. Later this tenant tried to physically intimidate me on my own porch. We ended up moving out of state and Craig rented the apartment to an existing tenant in another property fairly quickly (did not notify me of this), but left the huge "For Rent" sign in the front yard (it was on a busy street) and as a result we had strangers walking up to me while I was getting in my vehicle and speaking to my friend--literally interrupting me--and ignoring me when I told them to GTFO the property, strangers walking INSIDE the front door of the apartment when the moving truck was loading our stuff on the day we were leaving to try to talk to me, etc. Craig tried to argue with me about the nasty cheap carpet as well when we had no pets or children and had never spilled anything on it and had it professionally cleaned... not a surprise but I received my security deposit back on the very last day of the 30 days mandated by CA law. If my review has not already convinced you to do so, I do not recommend renting from this company.

My husband and I worked with Jim Scott to sell our home in Mission Hills…read more In short, Jim is a cut above: (1) smart, (2) competent, (3) calm (and calming in his demeanor), (4) completely honest, (5) knows the market in Mission Hills and (6) very knowledgeable about many things. We listed our home in February 2020. Although we entered into a sale contract quickly (Jim was right on target on pricing, and we listened to him), closing didn't occur until April 2020, which was right in the middle of the worst of Covid-19. This, of course, was an unprecedented situation, and I had significant doubts whether the sale would actually go thru. But Jim navigated this with calm competence and got it done, without a hitch. Jim coordinated most everything for us (as we had already moved into our new house on the east coast) from repairs (unfortunately, given that it was an old house, there were lots of them, most of which Jim predicted to us in our initial meeting) to moving our furniture (which we left behind for staging) to other house tasks (meeting people at the house, etc.). We highly recommend Jim. He is the sort of person that you know when you have him at your side that you are in good hands.

Even after the deal was done in Nov, Jim has continued to provide support in dealing with our home warranty company, recommending contractors for projects, etc. Thank you Jim for everything, we highly recommend his company for realtor services!!

As I was researching and educating myself on the home purchase process, I found myself on the Globella website for quite some time. It was a wealth of knowledge and I was impressed by the range of topics and depth of technical concepts. It wasn't before a few hours on the website that I even knew what/who Globella was. All I knew is that they knew what they were talking about and I was grateful for the quality content. There is no shortage of information online - the challenge is filtering out the junk and noise. It quickly became clear that Globella was offering pure, quality information. This was motivation enough to click the "free buyer strategy session". From the moment Justin made first contact (probably 2 minutes after clicking) to beyond the close of escrow, his communication was nothing short of stellar. I admire and respect his dedication to communicating quickly, clearly, and completely (i.e. no cutting corners). Further to interpersonal skills, we truly enjoyed spending time and getting to know Justin. He's just the kind of person you want to be around. There's much more I could say. But we got the brainpower behind Globella's knowledge-base coupled with a top notch coach and mentor to guide us through this important milestone as we navigated our first home purchase.

My husband and I were first-time homebuyers looking to move out of OC and start our new life…read moretogether as newlyweds in North County San Diego. The two of us are extremely process-oriented, detailed individuals that really put a lot of thought & research into everything we do. As you can imagine, this approach carries over to any big purchase decisions and we were about to make the biggest purchase of our lives. That, coupled with an ultra-competitive hot SoCal housing market, was why it was really important for us to find an agent that we were 100% confident in and could trust. We took the time to interview several different realtors (some of which were referrals from friends) and left each one feeling a bit underwhelmed. None of them seemed like a great fit for us and we began to wonder if our expectations were just too high... that is, until we met Justin Gramm. Justin was the last agent that we interviewed, and he was the first agent that really blew us away. Within minutes, we got the immediate feeling that he was going to be the perfect fit. The questions he asked us were thoughtful, and he really took the time to get to know us so he could get a better understanding of what was important for us to have in our 1st home. Justin is truly an expert at his craft and amazing at what he does. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, thoughtful, and a true professional (and fun!). Justin is an excellent communicator and skillful negotiator to boot. He was so patient and helpful when answering ALL of our questions (and boy, did we have a lot of them). I pride myself in being able to read people really well and I could easily see how much he genuinely cares about his clients. Justin also had us do a fun "SOLD" exercise that we found extremely valuable & unique. The exercise allowed us to look at recently sold homes in the area(s) we were looking to buy in. Those sold homes had the same target price range & most/some of the desired home specs he identified we resonated with the most. We would look at the recently sold homes from this list and swipe "left" or "right" on whether or not we would buy the home if it were available on the market today... or if we would pass on it. It allowed us to really zero in on what was most important to us in our new first home together. Justin was never afraid to share his honest, professional, and expert opinion on things. Yet, he was also very thoughtful with how and when to best weigh in during more emotionally-charged discussions between my husband and I trying to navigate on a decision to pursue an offer on a home we'd just seen. He was skillfully able find that delicate balance of leading us to the right path to account for factors we sohuld consider, yet not being overbearing and careful not to impress any strong opinion or negative bias on us. This made us feel like every decision we made along the way was really and truly ours, with Justin still there to guide us whenever we needed. Looking back, by asking thoughtful questions, Justin actually saved us from making an offer on a home that would NOT have been a great fit for us. For that, we are eternally grateful. I really appreciated Justin's methodical and process-driven approach, as he really helped us stay organized in the midst of all the chaos. He was super flexible in being able to work with our hectic travel schedules and never made us felt bad about wanting to see more open houses weekend after weekend. He was never pushy to make a sale, and it was clear to us that Justin's top priority was to find us the perfect home at the right price & best terms that worked for us. After months of looking, my husband and I unexpectedly found our dream home on a big day of stacked open houses that Justin lined up for us. After taking the night to think about it, we called Justin told him that we wanted to put together an offer & submit it ASAP (which he was able to get done that very same day). Justin did a great job building rapport with the Seller's Agent during the open house, which ended up being extremely valuable for us during this process. Thanks to Justin, our offer was the one that the seller decided to choose over multiple other offers. After our offer was accepted, Justin continued to play a valuable role in helping us navigate through all the paperwork & required steps leading up to the final home inspection & close of escrow. We could not imagine going through this process with anyone else but him. We'll definitely be referring Justin to all of our family & friends looking to buy in the SD area. When we're ready to buy our next property, Justin will be the first one we call and he's the only agent we would trust with our business.
