I wanted to love this office and I honestly was very close to it. I enjoyed the initial visit and the dentist was very nice and personable. The front desk staff? No. Adriana was patient and thorough. Once I got denied by my insurance to cover a deep cleaning, I figured ok well I can at least get a regular cleaning. I requested to schedule that, and got told through text I couldn't get a regular cleaning because the dentist recommends a deep cleaning. The deep cleaning out of pocket is $400 per side of mouth. I disclosed to them that paying $800 for a deep cleaning isn't something I'm able to do at the moment. I decided to call, because surely this response was mistaken. I called and unfortunately I spoke with a "Maya". She rudely asks for my first and last name and puts me on a 10 minute hold, never once checking back. I call back and she immediately puts me on hold, and doesn't confirm who I am or what I'm calling for. After another 2-3 minute hold, she gets back on the phone and just says, "how may I help you?" I explained I was the same person on hold waiting for an answer about a regular cleaning. She proceeds to say, "Yeah, so you can't get a regular cleaning because..." She begins rattling off the many things going on with my teeth from my private dental chart. I then asked her if I could speak with the dentist, and she responds very snarky, "He doesn't speak with patients over the phone." I asked if I could speak with a manager instead, and she sarcastically responds with, "That's who you were texting...." I ignored her remark and asked again to speak with the manager. Annoyed, she says, "I'll have to put you on hold, she's with a patient." At this point, I'm sure you can understand my frustration. Instead of becoming insulting like she was probably aiming for me to be, I asked her to confirm the manager's name. She finally discloses the woman's name as Adriana. I then asked her name and she dryly and a bit hesitant said, "Maya." Her attitude over the phone matches her demeanor in person. She has a very nasty disposition and it's unfortunate that there's a possibility first time clients speak with her first. If I hadn't spoken with nicer people at that office and spoke with "Maya" first, I'd think the whole staff is like her and wouldn't go there at all. Not only that, but when I came into that office for the first time, she had either been coming in from break or coming in for the day. The whole office environment changed. She sat at the front with a stale face, rolling her eyes at patients and some staff when interacting with them. Isn't it illegal to disclose patient information over the phone without confirming who you're speaking with? I never told her my name when I called back. She just began exposing sensitive information freely out of frustration because I asked about why I couldn't have a regular cleaning versus a deep cleaning. Isn't that a violation of hippa? I'm almost positive I'm not the only one that has said something about her attitude. It's always one of us mistreating one of us. I can handle being told I "don't qualify for a regular cleaning because I'm a smoker..." (I'm not a smoker, but good job Maya for doing too much...) but for my whole chart to be disclosed without prior approval? That's a problem. I'll make sure I look into Maya. Back to the situation at hand, how is it that I cannot get a regular cleaning if that's what I ask for? My insurance doesn't allow me to pay out of pocket for services. So if they're denying me coverage for what the dentist is recommending........I do not want to pay $800 unexpectedly........and my insurance is saying I cannot pay out of pocket anyway......I can't get the bare minimum of a regular cleaning? I'd assume if a dentist cares about their patient's teeth, they'd do what they can and take care of the patient as best they can. Had I gotten a better explanation and probably not spoken to "Maya," I would have eventually just gone ahead and put the charges on my care credit and fought with the insurance about it later just because I really wanted to stick with Todays dental. I've spoken to several people thus far about the way this situation was just handled, and I was simply told if I'm being treated this way now, I probably wouldn't want them working on my mouth. That statement is SO valid. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt you guys to lose one patient, but word of mouth travels pretty quickly. Especially when it's negative. Hopefully, something is done about your front desk staff's bedside manner. read more

Visiting the Dentist was hard for me after neglecting my dental care for so long. Today's Dental has completely changed that for me. Dr. Agarwal and the staff are completely non judgemental and do everything they can to make your time in the office as worry and pain free as possible. As someone has visited the office now for cleanings, crowns and adjustments I can say I don't stress about the visiting the dentist anymore and that's wild to say. I will even be going back to try out invisalign because I don't mind going to the office! Recommend 5 stars all the way! read more

Whichever doctor you start with is the only doctor you can have throughout all of your appointments, regardless of the care they do or do not provide and any emergencies. My dentist works one day a week, during the day, and will not accommodate any schedules other than her own. Since I work on the only day the front office says I can come in, I'm just out of luck. Even though my discomfort is from a filling that doctor provided. Would this happen at any other office? It's rare so I would recommend finding a more professional and accommodating staff. *Edit. It is standard across the board for any dentist, stylist, etc., to fix their own work. They were paid for the work they did so why would another doctor want to fix their mistakes? Because they're accommodating and put the patients first. It sounds to me like I'm required to adhere to your policies because of my insurance. I guarantee if I had better insurance, this wouldn't be an issue. It is also factual to note that dentists are capable of reading treatment plans and X-rays, even on patients they have not seen. What would you do if that dentist left the practice? You just can't see any of her patients because you haven't worked on them? Maybe your policies should be revisited. In the meantime, I'll edit my review to say: if you are someone who needs a flexible and reasonable provider, this place is absolutely not for you. read more

I am so taken back that a office that my family and I have been to for over 3 years whom my kids love and have only had awesome experiences with never any issues with payment or keeping appt until COVID so last Nov. I was charged me $150, for my 3 daughter appts for not canceling my appointment in time when I was in fact had a family emergency that I had to leave quickly to California for, but then also they sent us over to collections for no show appointments charges, that I called too late for an exception, then on top of that deactivate my entire family accounts for it, when they are our family dentist that we go to often before COVID. I have referred friends and family to them because of how they all cared for my family and I. My husband paid the bill last month. So today I called to schedule an appointment because this makes 6 months, they then begin to tell me that they had closed out our accounts, What? Is that the way clients are treated. Especially if this wasn't a normal thing we have a history. Our accounts should not have been deactivated, they could have even offered us some assistance with it because it wasn't for any services or not having insurance. I get that no show behavior can cost but when you know your patients and their is history and a whole family of 5, that should not be the go to method. Gosh even my primary care and pediatrician don't do that. I have recommended Today's Dental to many people because of how I was treated us from the first day I walked in Cindy the office manager, to the dental hygienist that treated me who had so much fear and anxiety due to other dentists that traumatized me. But now I am second guessing because I feel that was a terrible way to handle that situation. Now that things have just gotten la bit normal since COVID the one thing that was certain was my dentist but today this is what I return to... didn't even take anything into consideration. Didn't even offer us a way to pay it off or suggest other options except closing out our accounts. So I can't even make appointments for my kids until they get the letter from the collection agency. They could have said well we can't let you schedule your kids appt together or something allowed us to make appointments separately, at least allowed some leniency. Due to the fact it's not even normal for use to have bills with them or not pay bills . I am not saying you wrong for charging the fees but all things should been considered. We are not new patients. And If that was always the policy, that proves that I am a repeat offender because I wouldn't be so highly upset or confused about it. Now my kids and I don't t have a dentist no more... that's crazy.. Btw we paid the $150 has been paid but my husband just called the number on the bill not knowing it was the collection agency so now we have to wait until they get the update from the collections agency before we can even schedule for my kids checkup. Wow! I am totally shocked at how this relationship just flipped. This review is from my personal experience at Todays Dental - Beverly location. I found this modern designed dental office with state of the art equipment while doing an internet search to have a periodontal maintenance cleaning done before traveling. Let me just say, my experience at this location was outstanding. The moment, I walked in the door, the space was inviting. Its a family oriented dental facility with great staff to treat kids and adults in one location. I received an oral evaluation, x-rays, and a excellent cleaning by Dr. Rebecca Hudson. She was simply amazing. Her professionalism and dental knowledge was impressive. The Dental Assistant Hailey and the Insurance Coordinator Janet also made the whole experience seem effortless. Because of the interaction I had with these three dental professionals, I'm looking forward to returning to Todays Dental - Beverly, in the near future for continued service(s). read more

Dont waste your time or money! Bad service overall....came in to have a crown that fell off repaired,emergency...the doctor( Dr.Agarwal), looked at it for two minutes,and told me he couldnt do anything with it. I told them prior ,I had no insurance...then they preceded to tell me that I could get two different outrageously over priced things done...ummm, no thanks! I went home and looked up the codes and they are charging top range prices,so beware! As a final insult..upon leaving.... I was presented with a $91.00 bill that I had to pay on the spot...$91.00, ($25.00xray,...$66.00 limited exam fee) for no help and nothing done at all...when I questioned the amount of the exam fee, which is very high...,the staff immediately became defensive and started arguing in front of the whole waiting room... read more

After his visit there was no discussion about the health of my son's teeth. They didn't say a word to me. Just sent him out and printed out the bill. I will not be going back!!!!! read more

My wife took our granddaughter there today for a cleaning, and upon entering we were asked to take our shoes off because there was snow on them. (kinda hard not to with all the snow outside!) When my wife said she didn't want to because where everyone else's shoes were it was soaking wet from all the melted snow, and her socks would have gotten wet, she was told rudely "to go wait in the car!" Are you kidding me! Go wait in the car! No, how about we take our business elsewhere!? I've never heard such a thing! Buy some cardboard, a runner, or whatever else you can buy so you don't have to rudely tell a paying customer that wants to be with their granddaughter to go sit in the car if she doesn't want to have soaking wet socks when it's 14 degrees outside! Sorry Mr. couldn't manage your way out of a wet paper bag, we will be taking our business to a dental office that doesn't mind our wet shoes! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Patel for about ten years now, following him to various practices. He is the best! Whenever I get a filling, he warns me that I'll be in some pain for about a week... but so far, I haven't had any pain afterwards. He's incredibly gentle and thorough. He really cares about the health of my teeth and gums, and often recommends the lower cost options instead of trying to make as much money as possible off of my insurance company.
