My appointment went fine and I did not need any changes. My husband was told he needed new lenses, and we purchased the highest-quality option available with all recommended upgrades. The lenses alone were nearly $1,000, not including frames. The moment he put them on, it was clear something was wrong. They function like bifocals, which he has never worn in his life and was never told he was being prescribed. We understand there can be an adjustment period with new lenses, but it has now been almost two weeks with no improvement. In fact, his vision is significantly worse, and he is having serious difficulty seeing clearly. Prior to these lenses, he had no issues. We returned to the office to address the problem and request a correction, but the staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to take accountability. He is experiencing ongoing difficulty seeing correctly, and we are confident these lenses are not accurate. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, especially given the cost, and we are very disappointed by both the lack of support and the unwillingness to resolve a clear issue.

Meanwhile, Dr. Hoover was the FIRST EVER optometrist to address comments I had about my vision outside of the standard eye exam. He took me out into the hallway to actually check my real life vision. He found I had actually been wearing a prescription which was TOO strong! He decreased my prescription strength and my vision has never been better! I am so happy with this clinic! She let me know of the situation extremely bluntly. I had been waiting months for this appointment. I was visibly disappointed and she said she would go check with the doctor, she got up and walked away shaking her head. So rude. When she came back she asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no thank you, I was upset and needed to regulate before creating a new appointment. She proceeded to start offering me other dates and times and I reminded her that I had said no thank you and it felt like she wasn't respecting my words. The doctor that used to be here was amazing, idk about the new guy, but this honestly sucked and this woman was extremely rude. I wish we lived somewhere with more options so I didn't have to come back. ALSO- I made the 10 minute policy and waited 3 minutes while she finished her call and was too late because of her call... Beyond the frustration of this interaction and not being able to attend my appointment, the way this woman treated me was extremely unprofessional and she is clearly in need of further training.

Understood our situation & got us right in to see the doc!! The doctor was absolutely invaluable with a plethora of information!!! Avoid Dr. Taylor!…read more Starting at the check in, the receptionist was extremely disrespectful to my mother and I, and, when my mother didn't have her ID with her, the receptionist complained that our being ill prepared was irresponsible. The assistant that took us back was very kind and and when she asked if I was hoping to update my contact prescription as well as my glasses prescription. I told her that although I had trouble using contacts in the past I would like to try again and update my contact prescription. She asked if I would like a second contact training and when I told her I would not she told me this would not be a problem. However, when Dr Taylor entered, she proceeded to tell me that she would not prescribe my contacts unless I had another training. I explained that my previous training had been traumatic for me as I have anxiety around strangers as well as sensitive eyes, and that my mother had worn contacts for 30 years and was good at helping me. She mocked my mother and said that as my mom was not an eye care professional, it would not be safe for her to assist me, and refused to prescribe me contacts. Throughout the appointment she also avoided asking me questions that being in my mid teens I was perfectly capable of answering and had my mom share about my experience for me. I have had other negative experiences with Dr. Taylor in the past, and highly recommend future patients schedule with another provider!
