Years ago I would walk a couple blocks down the street to purchase bouquets as often as possible from the Grey house on Kessler shortly after they were picked and today's purchase at the Market reminds me of those happy times too. Linda did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding down in Bloomington! I had her special order Picasso Calla Lilies and arrange all of the boutonnières for family members. She also put together three lovely terrariums for the tables at the wedding, as well as some greenery for our wedding cake. The arrangements were gorgeous and so was her farm. Just two things to consider: she does not deliver, so it made it a little more difficult to get the arrangements before the wedding. While she is only 20 minutes outside of Bloomington, it wasn't on the way to our venue. I knew my parents would love to see the farm, so that made it worthwhile for me. The other thing is that she has two (adorable) dogs that will greet you when you arrive. I LOVE dogs, but don't care for them to jump on me with muddy paws. . . ;) When we went to pick up the wedding flowers, the dogs jumped onto the side of my newly-washed vehicle and left mud marks & scratches on my car. I had my car washed again and the marks from the dogs are still there. Not the end of the world, but not fabulous either. If I were throwing an event in Bloomington, I would definitely hire her again!

It also doesn't hurt that it's a stone throw from Traders Point Creamery for ice cream after. ;) We popped in to see what spring selections they had available to kickstart our bushes, vegetables and more. We were a few days ahead of some shipments coming in so we weren't able to find too much quite yet. It was still an enjoyable visit to see the earlier blooms and how everything is laid out. The only thing that held it up from a fifth star was we felt like the staff was withholding or not taking us seriously when we were asking for interest in ordering a magnolia tree. We were asking for price ranges and they wouldn't seem to give it to us even though we understood that they didn't have them available currently or that they may need to look it up. I can't help but feel like I thought we wouldn't be able to afford it or something of that nature. Otherwise, a not so bad experience. You will find everything from wind chimes, tropical plants, fairly mature trees, and birdseed here.

Hired this company to spread mulch for me. I wasn't sure how long it would take so I asked Eric to…read moremove me from the original three hours to four. Two man crew did show up on time. They finished spreading the 5 1/2 cubic yards I'd bought in about three hours. I did not get a walk through after the job nor a reminder I still had them for another hour. There was no walk through after the job was done like I was told in an email. They started the job at 1:30 and payment went through at 4:38, so I don't believe they planned to stay the extra hour. Their work was ok. Some areas had way too much mulch, others didn't have enough. They dumped mulch on some of my plants and either broke some stems or covered them completely. I emailed Eric about getting my $110 back for the hour the workers were not there, but have yet to hear back. He was pretty responsive when setting up the appt and answering questions, but when it came to me wanting reimbursement, it's been crickets. Disappointing for a Christian based company.
