However, the…read moreincredible customer service I experienced tonight at this Autozone, and particularly from General Manager Brady, has completely reversed my attitude. While on a work road trip from Texas to New Hampshire my alternator went out along interstate 85 in Georgia on Wednesday 12/18. It was evening, and the closest town was Newnan. All the auto repair shops were closed, but the local Autozone showed online to be open til 9pm. This was our only hope, as I had a job in Charlotte, NC the next day. I called in to confirm they had the alternator for my Toyota Matrix in stock, which they did, and they put it on hold. Armed with some Youtube videos, we were hoping to replace the alternator on our own in the parking lot. The tow truck unloaded us at about 8:15pm. Our goal was to get everything done in time for Autozone to give us a jump with their jump box before closing at 9pm. Unlikely, but possible, so we got right to work. One of us working on it, the other supporting, buying supplies as needed. 1st awesome thing: Brady kept offering to lend tools to us so we wouldn't have to buy so much. We had stupidly not brought a single tool on the road trip. We ended up borrowing a ratchet set, some left over spray cleaner, screw drivers, etc - this was totally clutch. 2nd awesome thing: as it became clear we would not finish before 9pm, Brady said he'd be willing to stick around a little after store closing so that we could continue to borrow tools, and so that we could still get a jump when we were done. Well, miraculously we managed to complete the install of the new alternator by ~9:40pm. Brady was still in the store, still available even though they had closed at 9pm. He came out, jumped the car as promised, and everything worked! At this point we were COVERED in grease, trying to wipe off hands and arms with some paper towels we bought. 3rd awesome thing: It was then that he offered for us to use the bathroom to wash off the grease, oil, etc. At this point he had already stayed almost an hour after store closing, and he still extended help that would require him to stay even later. After quickly washing up, I tried to tip Brady and he declined. He said something like, "There, I did a good deed!". Well, I cannot overstate how significant this set of "good deeds" were for us, nor how impactful they have been on my perspective of Autozone and its folks. Thank you so much to Brady and Autozone. For the record, my husband was stopping here not by first choice, but he sometimes needs help with his hands for things like this by the end of the day due to being temp paralysis earlier and being on life support twice earlier this summer from a sudden illness. They may warranty the engine (which have a 25% failure rate in our experience), but they will not pay anyone other than a shop to install the engine. If you are an individual who is an expert at engine installation, they WILL NOT PAY YOU to reinstall one of their defective engines. On top of that, the people at O'Reilly will not stand up for you with LKQ even if you have been a good customer who has spent thousands of dollars with them over many the years. They don't really even understand how the warranty works, they send you straight to the LKQ 1-800 number. Buyer beware! Do your research and don't get burned like we did.

I just purchased a vehicle from here and must say that I am shocked to see all the negative reviews…read moreon here, my experience was the total opposite of negative. I saw the car online, sent in a inquiry about it, the next day I got emails to come in and see the car but there was only one picture of the vehicle, so I said "no 'm not unless you post more pictures for me to look at". They sent me several and told me they had just got the car in and that's why there was only one picture and it wasn't inspected or detailed. I then got an email from salesman Peter and he asked if I would be coming in that day since the pics were sent, I said yes, (with the determination of NOT buying a vehicle) but just looking at it as it wasn't clean, but did have a clean autocheck history and did have every bell and whistle that I wanted in a vehicle. I got there and was treated great! Peter was a fun and honest and professional person to work with and made my experience enjoyable. He didn't try and BS me about anything dealing with the car and was upfront about what he (the dealership) could and could not do. I would use him again if need be. Now my only gripe if there is one is this, why would a dealership even load pictures of a car that they just got in and list it for sale when they haven't done any inspections, any maintenance or detailing. That's like putting the cart before the horse. So I bought the car on that Saturday (so much for not buying when I said I wouldn't), but didn't receive it until Wednesday because they had to do the aforementioned maintenance, inspections, detailing. Peter did honor his word by having the car delivered to me since I lived about an hour or so away and didn't want to drag my wife back down there to go get it. So all and all this was a pleasurable experience, I love the car (SUV), it came to me clean and small imperfections were repaired/corrected to my surprise. Only time will tell if the car will hold up but everything on it seems nice and strong so I am pleased. Thank you Peter and the rest of the staff that helped (even if it was just getting us water to drink), I appreciate it and am glad I am not one of the people who had bad experiences for whatever reason.

Their online portal was incredibly helpful, and allows you to receive real time updates as well as select which services to approve based on the technician's recommendations. Everything was very efficient and well communicated. I didn't catch his name, but the gentleman driving the shuttle on 8/20 was very kind! He texted me when he was on his way, and was there to pick me up within 10 minutes. This was such a great perk and alternative to taking an Uber or Lyft! The associates that closed me out were also very kind and helpful. They made sure to go over everything that was completed, as well as provided me with recommendations for services I may need in the future.
