She made no attempt to consult with another doctor there, just basically wrote a prescription and put her hand on the door. The pharmacist had to tell my sister about a drug interaction with something else she takes! The doctor didn't even check! So why do you have to get there half an hour early to fill out paperwork with the medications you're taking? After Lola had made the appointment that she waited two months for, I told her that someone I know had said that office was horrible. Lola won't go back. This doctor is horrible. If compassion and accuracy and integrity mean anything to you, you'll likely find more human kindness from a backstreet abortionist than you will here. I was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital because I was having heart attack symptoms and the…read moreambulance team said it was the closest hospital. I didn't want to go there because my husband had died due to lack of care there in January of this year. At the emergency room i asked if my cardiologist was a practicing physician there and they said yes! So I decided I would stay because they hadn't gotten my chest pain under control after multiple doses of nitroglycerin in the ambulance and the ER. The IV the EMT placed was blown in the ER when they started an IV drip of nitroglycerin. I then waited over an hour for someone who could use an ultrasound to find my vein for it. They then blew three more veins! The last one was blown #5 in the CT scan when they tried to do a saline practice flush prior to the contrast. I warned them to go slower than normal because my veins were fragile, but he didn't and my vein blew up to the size of a baseball! I screamed out in pain and said I couldn't allow them to do another IV! The nurse said if they didn't put in an IV, I couldn't be treated or tested further. So I should make up my mind to leave! So I signed out! I wanted to go to another hospital where my doctor was supposed to be working. After my ride arrived, I called my doctors office and they told me that my doctor had never worked at Countryside! So they had lied to me from the beginning! made a follow up appointment with my cardiologist and he said if the pain returned to go straight to Morton Plant hospital and call him and he would come right to the hospital! I'm furious because they pulled the same thing on my husband and he was dead five days later! There's no reason or excuse for them to lie and get away with it! By the way, any time I have put a complaint in to the Baycare system, they call it "unfounded" and dismiss it! Not this time! I could have lost my life because of their sloppy ineptitude! If you have any emergency, call your doctor and find out if they have rights to practice there! Otherwise, go wherever they direct you!

fyi... unfortunately,this is a tale of extreeme highs and…read morelows.. it is very sad,indeed.. i am a established patient of dr. som.. i am soooo greatful that he is my gp doctor,dr. som & his nurse,cindy gets 5 stars...totally empathetic,knowledgable & professional.... i feel very blessed to have them as part of my healthcare team... but... the severe problem is with the office staff..recently, the office changed to wellmed... it has not been a positive situation to say the least.. within the past 4 weeks i have had several problems with referrals to my specialist doctors.. sadly..the receptionist has been totally unprofessional and complete rude.. after several phone calls to the office manager,jose"(who was helpful after we met)were not returned..i showed up to complain and get my referral... i finally met with jose" and he helped..but unfortunately..the refferal codes were incorrect.. my specialists office has faxed a request to this weelmed office 3x..and still no reply...i spoke to the receptionist,jade ,& she claims its never been received...its just hard to believe.. this has gone on for 6 days...no resolution as of yet.. i'm still waiting for the authorization and referral approval from this gps office... & not one phone call has been returned from this office... this is a totally unprofessional situation...

This physician should have her medical license revoked. She botched my wife's colposcopy so bad…read morethat she was left with a thick layer of scar tissue that made it impossible thereafter for a normal pap smear to determine whether the cervix was cancer-free or not. Then she approved my wife, whose own mother died of breast cancer, for estrogen replacement therapy. She is now being treated for breast cancer and the likely cause is that estrogen therapy. To add insult, she never advised us of the risk to the cervix. My wife could have cancer there, too, for all we know at this point. Instead, she ran, where to we have no idea. But I suspect we'll be talking at some point.

The new automated check-in streamlines the process. The staff was pleasant and respectful. After being "in the system" for 47 years, I can say healthcare has come a long way to better support Veterans. It's not perfect but so much better. Within the first 2 minutes of meeting Dr Marks he got really close to my face, yelled at me and threatened to have me hospitalized if I didn't do as I was told. He is arrogant, loud, has no personal space boundaries and he spits when he talks. My first appointment with Dr Marks was for my 37 week recheck. The nurse entered first and hooked me up to the non stress test. I had never had this test before. She had me lay on their very uncomfortable exam table. She didn't prep me for the fact that it would take 20 minutes. As soon as the test started my baby started to kick the probe over my belly with force. I asked why she seems to hate the probe so much. The nurse just said "It's good that she is moving. That's what we want". The nurse came back in the room 2 minutes later and tried to repeat my Strep B test. This only proves that no one reads the records at this practice. I'd had the test just one week prior. I took the probes off of my belly and said that I wasn't going to be doing this today. This is what had enraged Dr Marks. When he entered the room he was obviously ready for a fight. I extended my hand to introduce myself. Dr Marks said "we haven't met before?" Again, if he had read the record, maybe he would have known that. Then he proceeded to yell. Apparently Dr Marks has a reputation for this kind of thing. I left the entire practice and completely changed the hospital I had planned to give birth at just to ensure there was no possibility of having him deliver my baby. Please, protect yourself and your baby from this very unstable person.

She explains everything clearly and thoroughly, making you feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. I suffer from a sprained wrist and went to two other Urgent cares in the area, but none is even close to STATMED at Countryside Mall. Not only were they able to see me in a timely manner but they were able to do X-Rays on site (on a Sunday!) and provide a prescription to help with the pain. Thank you Rachel and Jennifer and everyone else who helped. In addition, they recommended that I see an Orthopedic doctor and gave me the name of one that took me on short notice, because I was referred by STATMED. If you need help, don't hesitate to use this wonderful facility.
