To summarize, I asked them to perform a lighting exchange from fluorescent to LED In my home shop. They came out within a few days, did a nice job of assessing the situation and providing me with the raw materials, then they did about half the job (the easy half), then flat-out refused (nicely) to come back and finish it. said they had manpower problems. They charged me the full $1500 amount and their invoice reported that the job was completed. I spent $1600 and a lot of personal effort to complete the job myself. After failing to get any dialogue from them, I plan to pay the invoice to avoid further hassle. The price they pay will be this review! The following is a letter I wrote two months ago to the company that has all the details of timing and sequence. I never received a reply. I certainly will never ask them to do anything else for me. I waited a long time to write this review because I just COULD NOT believe that a reputable company would behave in this manner: Dear Nelson Electric: Please help me understand. Early December 2022, I asked you to to revise the lighting system in my shop from Fluorescent to LED. 'Twas a natural choice, because you wired and lit my shop in 2008 and did a really sweet job. The circuit box is a work of art. You sent a senior electrician and apprentice out Dec 13 and we had a good day. He surveyed the situation, did some research, gave me good advice, and brought all the bulbs needed. The difficult part was five 8-foot fixtures on a high ceiling that needed ballasts removed and circuitry restored before placing the 8-ft LED bulbs. Your team didn't have the necessary ladders/scaffold to reach the 3 difficult (16-ft high) fixtures, so they did the easier 2 and left me with the impression they would be back. I never got a call-back, so after about 2 months, I put a call into your general office, and eventually 2 calls to "Buddy," job scheduler? I emphasize all interactions were cordial and I think admirably honest, except for one thing: I THINK IT WAS JUST A DIFFICULT, LOW-PAY JOB AND NOBODY WANTED TO FINISH IT! Buddy told me during the first call that he would try to get the completion scheduled, but a couple weeks later during my second call, he was honest enough to tell me that he was having significant manpower shortage problems and he didn't think the job would be completed within 6 to 9 months, and when I asked if it would be appropriate for me to prep the work place and hire a friend independently to complete the job, he welcomed that option. I understand that. I've done my fair share of difficult jobs. But I don't really have a grasp on how a company with your reputation could start a job and verbally contract to finish it, then just blow it off. I got a bill for services invoice (attached) on December 17. It is my personal compulsion, my mission in fact, to pay such bills in full immediately upon job completion. But it is also my cautious character to avoid paying for jobs that have not been finished. The services and advice (and of course materials) that you provided were valuable to me. I'm not trying to get out of paying for that. But it cost me considerable $'s to buy and build a scaffold and hire a friend to complete the work and I think maybe some downward adjustment of your bill is in order. I signed up for a deep cleaning, six hours for $243. I gave them a list of rooms to get to and was…read morereally disappointed when I reviewed what they got done. Only three rooms were cleaned, the kitchen and two of our three bathrooms. I've had house cleaning services over the last 12 years or so, so I feel like I have reasonable expectations based on personal experience working with good cleaners. The kitchen is about 10-12 foot square. While some things were obviously cleaned, the details weren't caught. The half bath is approximately 6x6 feet big, with a toilet, corner shelf and small sink. The countertop was dirty, the items on the countertop that stay out (like the toothbrush holder) were dirty, the lights window and mirror frame weren't dusted, the wall next to the toilet was dirty, and sink and faucet were still dirty. The upstairs bath is a 3/4 bath that's approximately 6x12 foot, with a shower stall, toilet and double sink. Again, the lights and windows weren't dusted, the sink and faucet were dirty. The shower wall was streaky, and the water with the cleaned-away dirt was left pooling on the floor of the shower and had dried there. The office was quick about responding to my initial email and follow-up emails. They offered to come back and redo the rooms we were unhappy with but I preferred not to. I asked if the amount of space that was completed was on par with the normal 6-hours of deep cleaning and they said yes 2-4 rooms were normal. I don't feel like that was a value for the price or reasonable for the amount of time spent. The young ladies who came to our house were absolutely lovely in the few minutes I spoke with them. While this is a negative review, my main issue is not with the ladies who did the cleaning. It really appears that the issues are with training, inspecting, and my expectations not being aligned with those of the company. I hope they'll take this feedback and invest the time in setting their staff up for success.

Job was never finished because they didn't understand what was asked despite at length…read morewalk-throughs. Asked for weed removal, weed barrier installation, removal of yard rock and mulching. The owner (Kelly) walked around with me and took pictures of every area I specified. We discussed at length the volunteer trees that I wanted removed and he took photos and made notes on his phone. Their 'crew' showed up fairly late in the morning. A younger man asked for clarification on what was done and I did a second walk through with him explaining everything. Two of the four employees they sent were not very efficient. I took photos of them sitting on my front porch and not working (with times) and sent this to the owner. They also did not have loppers, I lent them mine. Unsure of why you wouldn't bring this on a landscaping job. Before they left for the day, they informed me of a paint spill on my driveway. Promised to return to clean it up but let it sit overnight. It's unclear as to why their employees are using paint cans as chalk blocks for trailers, but my driveway will never be the same. They 'completed' the job while I was not home so I was not able to speak to them about my concerns. Did not receive a call or message that they were done. They did not finish weeding the entire side of the fence or back part of the yard. I asked them to weed, place weed barrier, and mulch these sections. It was left weed whacked (but appears as if the operator has some vision issues... My 7-year old could have done a better job). When asked about why the job was not completed correctly, they claimed they did not know and would need to charge more money. Any invoices sent to us were not professionally done and did not outline individual line item costs so it's unclear how much they actually are charging for materials. Additionally, we tried to use them for snow removal service last winter. They did not show up once (and didn't call), and it took a poor Google review for them to show up any time after that. Considering their poor work ethic with my yard work, I won't be using them for snow removal or any other work around my property. Please be cautious when hiring this company!

Gabe did a great job communicating schedule changes. Once the work got underway it went quickly. And the quality of their craftsmanship was outstanding. The siding is fantastic. The attention to detail superb. Seams were overlapped so not to be visible from the street. Joints were staggered so not to catch the eye. The metal trim was perfect and we love our new carport.
