I've always struggled getting up in the morning and feeling alert during the day. I never realized how sleep and breathing play hand in hand. I always thought it was normal to snore at night, little did I know, it was related to obstructive sleep apnea! Dr. Klauer did an outstanding job explaining the relation between airway, breathing, and sleep. His staff made my appointment smooth sailing and helped answer all of my questions. read more

Established in 2013.

Dr. Daniel Klauer, DDS is a sleep medicine dentistry practitioner in Granger, IN and has been practicing for 4 years. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2010 and practices sleep medicine dentistry and headache management. As Dr. Klauer learned to identify the origin of patients' pain and sleep problems, it became seemingly clear that he could drastically impact their lives now and in the future. He values the opportunity to educate patients and give them the tools to live healthier lives independent of medications and simply "band-aiding" symptoms. He appreciates the opportunity to attend cutting edge courses that further advance his clinical skills and broaden his base of knowledge so he can continue to improve for his patients. In his personal time, Dr. Klauer spends as much time as possible with his wife and three young children. He enjoys running, skiing, but finds pleasure in mostly any outdoor activity.

Meet the Business Owner: Daniel K.

Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Dr. Klauer chose to complete his four years of training at The Ohio State University, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. Klauer started practicing in South Bend with Dr. Terrance Mahoney and was mentored by him for nearly 7 years before embarking on his journey to transform the lives of patients through treating craniofacial pain, TMD, and adult/pediatric sleep disordered breathing. Dr. Mahoney was instrumental in encouraging Dr. Klauer to follow his passion and without Dr. Mahoney's vision these services would not be available to the South Bend Community. In 2013 Dr. Klauer spent over 100 days outside of the office in advanced education and training. Dr. Klauer is the only board certified doctor in dental sleep medicine and craniofacial pain within a 100 mile radius of South Bend.

This was a very painful procedure, probably more so because my sinuses were small and pretty blocked. That being said, I would do it all over again to feel the relief that I feel now. I can actually breathe out of my nose again, what a great feeling. I have been to other Specialists that could not figure out what was going on. I would definitely recommend Advent!!

I have had the pleasure of not only being a patient of Dr. Klauer's but a team member at the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre for almost 6 years. Dr. Klauer leads by example and is an incredible boss. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else or for anyone else! He treats the team and our patients like family. We take time to get to know our patients and identify the cause of their problems.
