During the first 15 minutes my meeting was interrupted 3 times by one of the other team members as they were in the middle of ordering lunch from a local Chinese restaurant. I was required to waste 30 minutes watching an outdated safety video from the 1980's. Upon leaving I explained to them that I would be available to start the following Tuesday as I had some previously scheduled appointments for that Monday (this was on a Thursday). They said they would get back to me once they submitted my application to the company and heard back from them. On Monday morning, while in one of my appointments, I received a voicemail from someone at STS I had not met saying that the company that I was going to work for called and said that I didn't show up that morning and also stated that their representative gave me the contact info for the company. #1. I didn't even know the name of the company that I would be working for. And I was never given a contact name. #2. I haven't even started and I'm already being made out to be the lazy, bad guy by not showing up to a job I was never confirmed to have gotten. Not really what I want when I haven't even started yet. #3. The communication between fellow employees is garbage. From there it gets even worse with communication between employers and potential employees. Do NOT use this staffing service!!! Disorganized! Chaotic! Unprofessional!

This past May the state of Minnesota garnished her refund for overpayment of her property tax refund. She asked me to help her figure out why they did that. A quick call to the State of Minnesota (is there such a thing?) and I was informed that there was no return filed for her for 2021. I reached out to Dillon at Jasicki as he was the preparer that completed and signed her return. Always got the answering machine or left a message with the always pleasant lady that answered the phone. Once on May 19. Three times on May 27. Twice on June 3. Four times on June 4. Twice on June 6. Again on June 26. Twice on June 27. Concurrently during this stretch of time, I sent out numerous emails requesting information and seeking guidance. NOT ONE TIME DID I GET THE COURTESY OF A CALL BACK OR A RETURN EMAIL. I had to literally catch Chuck answering the phone almost 2 months into attempting to contact them to have a conversation with him. Extremely frustrating and disappointing given that she paid them to prepare and file, and interest and penalties accruing daily. So, what happened? They filed the federal return but it was not accepted for reasons not provided to her at the time. They did not even notify her that her return was not accepted. As the filer they got notice but failed to communicate directly with my daughter that they needed more information for the return to be accepted. It ended up being a 1095 health insurance form that was never discussed or requested when they prepared the return. When I finally got Chuck on the phone, he transferred me to Dillon and in 34 minutes we had it worked out. Simple right? All could have been handled at the time and saved the $435 in penalties and $257.08 in interest. I would ask them to cover the costs incurred due to their pathetic lack of follow up, but they don't answer emails or return phone calls. Do yourself a favor and have your taxes prepared elsewhere.

Do not use this company. I am a very small business owner who hired this team to help me navigate…read morethe operation and maintenance of proper payroll records. PCS mishandled classifications of my employees (under the wrong states), made multiple errors on my company's returns, and double paid employees through payroll runs (even after being notified of their mistakes). There were so many errors flagged at the end of the year, I had to hire an outside accountant to review my files in a more complete fashion. We found even more mistakes stretching back nearly two years. It's been a time-consuming nightmare to untangle their mess, and their team has, at times, been unresponsive when confronted. Not to mention it's cost me thousands of dollars to review chain after chain of emails with my accountant--only to find additional mistakes that continue to be produced by PCS. My accountant (who is a high-level partner at a major Chicago firm) said that in 20 years of business, handling/working with various payroll firms around the country--she's never seen work this bad or reckless.
