When brought to their attention it was corrected but cost substantially more. When the job was supposedly complete, we had to point out many areas that needed to be touched up. In addition to this, we had made it perfectly clear to be careful of all plants around the house and not to use the flower beds near the street as an access point. This was not what happened. One girl insisted on walking thru the front flower beds, one plant near the house had white paint all over it and they cut the leaves off, one plant that cannot be replaced is now near dying, and many of my hostas have paint on many leaves. When we pointed this out to the representative, it was almost like "SO". Not only do I have to replace plants but also hire someone to wash my windows that they left really a mess from power washing. Might I add there was no supervision during this whole job and they contract out to other painters. I would no more recommend them than the guy walking down the street.

He put in some extra hours each day to try to make up for the lost time, although it still ended up taking an extra couple of days past what we had originally planned. However, it was necessary due to the extent of the work that had to be done, and I'm glad he took the time to do it right. Shanks did an amazing job on our floors. They look brand new and the espresso stain is gorgeous. One entire corner of the living room had to be replaced due to extensive water damage, and now it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the floor. One of our other contractors, who saw the floors both before and after the refinishing, was highly impressed with the result, and so are we! The price was a little bit above the original quoted estimate (and I knew it would be because the original quote didn't include repair time), but it was still well within what I expected to pay based on online estimates I'd looked up.
