Update: Aside from the kitten that I lost because of the negligence of the doctor. I have another kitten, who is thankfully, still healthy. However, the doctor is now refusing to fill a prescription for flea medication because it "puts His license on the line." He's concerned with his license over flea medication, but was not concerned with it when he was negligent and sent us home with a sick kitten twice. It's one thing to be negligent, it's another to call a grieving pet parent and accuse them of misinformation. On 3/10, we took my kitten who was losing weight, was so thin you could feel all of his bones, was lethargic and had discharge from his eyes. We were told that it was not an upper respiratory infection and that his lungs sounded clear. We were given eyedrops to clear the discharge and told to return in a week if he did not improve. I had previously scheduled an appointment on 3/17 to get Chili and his littermate vaccinated so I took them in. I verbally told the VetTech that Chili had not improved and I was concerned that it was now two weeks and he was low energy, wasn't using the litterbox, and had not gained weight. She came back and told me that the doctor was not concerned and that Chili was just going to be a small cat. A week later I made an appointment at a different vet to get another opinion. Within seconds of seeing Chili they advised to get him to a hospital asap. took him to a Hospital where we were told he had FIP and had to make a quality of life decision. At 5 months old, Chili had to be put down. If you look up FIP, the symptoms are exactly what I brought up. Looking back it's mindblowing that we were sent home twice and my concerns brushed off as 'a small cat'. I spoke to Caroline who sounded very robotic. She informed me that the drops we were given said to go back in a week if he didn't improve to get a different medication for a URI despite the fact the vet told us it was NOT a URI. She also told me that Chili maintained his weight across both appointments. maintaining weight does not mean maintaining a HEALTHY weight. Especially when his littermate was 2 pounds heavier and much larger than him. She told me that I was told that I could get him tested for the coronavirus, which mutates into FIP, but that they did not offer this in house. This is a blatant lie. At NO point was I advised that I could get him tested or that it might be something else. I asked to speak to someone else and I was told that her supervisor, Marie would call me back that day. The next day Marie had not called me back but I did receive an email confirming Chili's next appointment. I called in immediately to cancel this and mentioned that I was waiting on a call. She called me back within the hour and sounded very bothered and informed me that she had 10 minutes to spare. We went over the details and she started sticking to the fact that Chili maintained his weight despite the fact that I brought up other concerns as well. Once her 10 minutes were up she told me she'd look into it further and would have to call me back. She called me and let me know that we provided misinformation. She also referenced an appointment for my other cat from two months ago likely in an attempt to blame the fact she had a URI on why Chili got sick. She stated that in the 10 minutes the vet saw Chili he was not concerned because he was squirming to get away and was given a healthy body score. Trying to get away from a stranger who is poking and prodding you does not trump 2 weeks of being lethargic. Marie also told me that I was informed it was URI which contradicts what Caroline told me. I told her that all I wanted was some accountability for the fact I was not informed that I could take Chili to get tested elsewhere for a possible coronavirus diagnosis. She told me that I was informed --- I was informed that Chili would be a small cat. This practice will not take accountability for anything and instead of doing so will turn it around and blame you for not providing all of the necessary information or for misspeaking. read more

I took my pup in to be spayed and was VERY nervous but from the moment I stepped in, we were treated with care. The front desk staff explained everything clearly, answered my questions, and reassured me. The surgery went well, and my pup has healed perfectly. The price they charged was very fair for the service provided. I will be bringing my male pup in to be neutered soon. read more

Justice For Capone Our dog Capone had surgery the end of April at TLC PetSnip. He had a mass removed from his hip. He went down hill from there. In May I called to get him in to be seen and the staff that answered stated the vet had quit and that they weren't seeing any sick pets and I explained to them what had happen. We spent $400 and something for the surgery and then I had to take him to parkway emergency vet since I couldn't get him in they gave him meds to be comfortable and spent $700 there and then after he finished those we had to take him to urgent vet and spent $1600 there shortly after we had to put him down because he was suffering and was basically paralyzed in his back legs and couldn't walk. The video was right before we took him to put him down so he wouldn't continue to suffer. I've contact channel 8 news hopefully they take our story. -- We feel they should be shut down. read more

I can't say enough of the staff there, especially Michele. I'm fostering a dog stolen from Seattle, WA that was taken to a vet in Celebration, FL and the chip company notified the owner. Osceola County AS picked him up and worked with the owner, a single mom with a 4 year old who misses him very much. A rescue in Seattle offered to help fly him home but required that he be neutered first. Michele was able to fit him in after a cancelation and he should be going home in a few days. Everyone I met there was super nice and you can see they really care for their patients. read more

We had our 2 year old Bernese mountain dog spayed here and I am so happy we did. We had to get the surgery performed at this location, as the Lakeland humane society voucher is accepted here. We were skeptical at first because we had a bad experience getting our other dog spayed (at a different vet), but this procedure was seamless. Our dog is 1 day post op and seems to be in very little pain. Drop off is at 7:30 for dogs. You line up in your car in the parking lot and fill out paperwork. Pickup is at 4 for all dogs. You line up again and they bring you out your furry friend. read more

I would just like a refund on the money I used to make an online appointment. the appointment was cancelled a day before I was to take my kitten, by TLC. I have emailed and called with no resolution, just given the runaround. I'm also not comfortable with the practices of the owner, as I've read in numerous posts. Incredibly friendly staff. I brought my fur kid to get neutered and drove over an hour to come here. They were very organized when taking in the pets and even called early to let us know he was done early and that he did really well. The facility is clean and they know how to take care of your pets knowing how important they are. The prices are decent and the offer other medications for flea, tick and heart worm issues. read more

Great place and affordable I been to this office twice not sure how I feel about not being able to see what's going on inside with my pet. I say I'm not sure because it may be less stressful but can you trust the process. But other than that love the staff and the set up the check in are and the the waiting room. read more

Seems that they were helpful before they upgraded their facilities. I have to say I had a great experience getting my puppy spayed back in June. But I realized that they are ALL about spaying and neutering I get it Im glad they offer this service, but don't advertise that you also do wellness and sell heart preventative if you can't honor your appointments. I made an appointment for a Tuesday that appointment was approved and I received an email which gave me a date and time and it was a Tuesday the same lady even called and left me a message telling me she sent me a confirmed appointment ,,,,on Tuesday, well I get up there and they don't do wellness appointments on Tuesdays What? Not a good way to do business....it was a hassle so just spend that money elsewhere, wasn't worth trying to save some money. read more

We have taken all of our animals to them for spay and neuter. And all shots and flea meds and heartworm meds. We have never had a problem. I would tell anyone to go there and I do. We always refer them. There great. And they tell u up front there not a regular vet office. They only do certain things. Will definitely go back!!! read more

Happy dog happy momma. Dr.ferrera is a very honest doctor, very good at explaining things. Our baby had itchy paws and she recommended switching food. Low and behold our baby is no longer itchy! She really LITERALLY gets down to your baby's level and genuinely cares and loves her job, also giving you lots of realistic options cost wise. Along with all the loving staff at the Seffner location. I've also gotten my riley girl spayed at the Lakeland location.. her stitches healed so well. Leah is up next on the 12th of this month. I will post post-op pictures and review when healed. 4stars ONLY bc they only answer phone calls at the Lakeland location, And it normally takes 3 or 4 phone calls for them to answer. read more

The only good thing about this place is the prices. I brought my two pups here and for one, THEY ALWAYS TAKE AN HOUR or TWO even tho I had an appointment! Not only that, the lady who handled my rottie was REALLYYYYY pushy about having him neutered. Like shes against breeding. Keep your beliefs separate from work. Also, when I try calling to make an appointment because the website is trash, they never pick up. The drop down to select a service never shows anything. And you have to select from both drop downs to get an appointment. I have to type in the box that I only want this service which is annoying after countless attempts of refreshing my page for the drop downs. I'm no longer bringing my rotties here. I brought my Mona to this clinic for her annual vaccinations. From making the appointment to leaving the clinic, everything went seamless. My appointment was at 12pm, but I arrived at 11:30 to fill out some paperwork since she's never been there. The girls at the front desk are very sweet and professional, I didn't get the name of the doctor of the time but he was a man of few words BUT efficient at his job. I keep trying this place, but it has become very bureaucratic. You can't talk to anyone to make an appointment and have to use the website. The appointment form is worse than doing your taxes by yourself and is partly broken. It demands that you select a "service" but nothing happens when you click on services. So I left a message to have someone call me so I could figure out what to do. A lady called and said I should just select the other box for rabies vax, and then I could explain when I filled out the form on the day of the appointment. She said she knows that nothing appears in "services" drop down menu. She said she would put the appointment through. 15 minutes later I got a call from another lady, not as nice as the first one, who said i should have filled in the box for more information and because I didn't they wouldn't give me an appointment. The appointments are 2 weeks out anyway, and I didn't want to waste more time trying to fill out their half-working form. I told her to forget it. This used to be a great place and I have recommended it many times. So I figured they didn't give me an appointment, but a day later another lady, who said she was a supervisor and less nice than the last one, called and said she wanted to know what the problem was with my dog. I told her I had been told that I could explain this when I brought him in. She said that if I had explained the problem then they might be able to get him in earlier. I said I have always been told, just like a day ago, that this wasn't possible. We were both talking for a moment and she snapped at me, "let me finish talking!" I realized she probably thinks she's my supervisor too, so I hung up. A couple hours later I got an email saying they cancelled the appointment, lol. read more

I made an appointment for my dog and two cats to go for a simple yearly exam, a heartworm test for my dog, and flea prevention for all three of them. When I made the appointment, they told me that the earliest appointment was 2 months out. The price was good, so I took the appointment. A few days before the appointment, the office calls me to tell me that the vet is going to be out the day of my appointment. But, there was a shot clinic on Saturday that I could go to, they would wave the exam fee, and I could get everything done then.The hours were from 9:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon. Sounds fair. I took all three of my boys over there at noon. The girl that was checking people in waves me down as I'm pulling into the parking lot, and says that the cutoff time has already passed, that they're no longer accepting any more patients. I said well, it would have been nice for someone to have told me that when they called to cancel the appointment. Before I could finish that sentence, she cut me off, explaining that it takes about an hour to get everyone in, so they had to cut off at noon. I said so, the appointment I made 2 months ago... I got cut off again before I could finish my sentence. She said no no, there's no appointment it's just a walk-in. Getting irritated by the fact that I can't finish a sentence now, I say yes, I realize that, but I made the appointment... Cut off again. No you don't understand, there is no appointment, she says. I say yes, I get that, but they called me and... Cut off again. She says, ma'am, ma'am, I will squeeze you in, but you have got to stop with the attitude. Now I'm pissed. I'm the one with the attitude when she's the one who won't let me finish a sentence? I said no thanks, I think I'll find somewhere else to go. I will never go back to this clinic again. Never in my life been treated so rudely. Two days later update: I got a call from the office to tell me that the did wouldn't be in, and they need to reschedule me. Don't they have a record of calling me the first time? I said, no, I won't be using them. read more

I took my cat for a spay and the process of both drop off and pick up was really easy. My cat had no fowl odors, fleas, or any infections or showed any signs of discomfort. Her wound healed properly. The clinic even called the check up in my kitty. I would use tlc pet snip with my pet again. It's very reasonably priced. And the coworkers are very personable. read more

Trust me, this place is horrible. These people are absolutely rude!! And it's not as cheap as they say it is. I have been hung up on twice, by scheduling. And one of my cats didn't even get her "check up". This same cat (who is rescued) was supposed to get spayed, turns out she already was. They did not call me to give me any of this info. They did not provide the check up that was already requested on the phone call, because I didn't "state it" upon drop off. And they gave her vaccines she already had, but not her flea and worm medication. They didn't do a thorough check up on my second cat because she "wouldn't let them", and didn't even make sure she actually took the pill they gave her. They didn't give her the flea medication neither, I had to do that at home myself. The vet tech that took her back was also very rude. She wouldn't let me finish talking or explain, she would continuously cut me off. They didn't even mention my cats hyperesthesia or anemia, which lets me know they didn't do a actual check up on her neither. Her total check up should have been $69, yet I ended up paying $115, plus $27 for the one that they didnt spay, for the vaccines she already had. And didn't even get flea and worm medication for the one that didn't need the spay. I very obviously would get upset if someone is telling me over and over they don't understand what I need, but I wasn't rude, didnt curse, nothing, yet was hung up on again because I stated they were horrible. Just do yourself the favor and go elsewhere!! Trust me, go elsewhere. they don't even let you go back with your pet, so you have no idea what type of "check up" they did, or how thorough it was. My cat was only back there 5 minutes, maybe even less. read more

Please do not go there. I regret my decision to take my puppies there for neutering. Discount pricing is the only positive thing here but if you truly love your pet you won't take them here. I had to take my one puppy for emergency appt after going to this place. They were not open for 3 days and you can't get ahold of anyone. I was told to contact them through Facebook, really? My puppy was bleeding from his sight and he was in pain and swollen. They didn't give me any pain meds and they said the shot they gave would last 24 hrs. Not!!!! They also gave the wrong cone to protect them from licking. Too small!!! When I finally took my puppy to regular vet to get proper care they gave me the right cone for them and now they are doing fine. Now my puppy is on Antibiotics and pain meds. When I'm there they had people taking pets out side to wait as they had parvo in the office a week prior . So I walked away feeling as all I did was exposed my dog to parvo . We took two of our golden retrievers there to be neutered. One of our boys had a bilateral cryptorchid so his surgery was more involved. Both boys surgeries went very well. They recovered very quickly and their incisions healed amazingly. This facility is very well run and extremely inexpensive! I was nervous about my boys surgeries, but the staff there made me feel at ease. The fact that they specialize in spaying/neutering and perform the surgeries all the time also calmed my nerves. When my dog with the more involved surgery went in, they mentioned they thought they heard a heart murmur that he may be growing out of. I was very worried, but they reassured me that the vet would not do the surgery if they didn't think it was safe. The woman at the front counter that we checked in with even called me after the surgery was done to let me know he was okay and recovering because she knew how worried I was. I have 4 dogs (used to have 5) and I've actually only used this vet for vaccines and one spay so pretty basic procedures for a vet. I had 3 pups at this vet and ended up transferring 2 to Kathleen animal hospital when I found it impossible to get contact with TLC for anything. I'd leave message after message, never any answers to phone calls or voicemails. Recently the last pup I had at TLC (had only been there for spay and shots previously) had a growth on her side I was concerned about. I was FINALLY able to get her in for an appointment after weeks of calling and eventually having to have my mom go up there in person to make an appointment due to my work schedule. (There were 2 separate occasions prior to this I was given an appointment date and time and they were never put in the system). After finally getting an appointment and getting her in, it turns out to be mass cell cancer. After saving up a little money to pay for the surgery I booked an appointment on 3/14/22 for 4/4/22. On 3/23/22 my mom received a call on the house phone that the vet scheduled for Izzy's appt no longer worked there and her appointment had to be rescheduled. I'd already requested off of work for 3 days for the surgery. She asked can't another vet there perform the surgery? I guess it's a good thing they had to reschedule the appointment that day because they had her in for a wellness visit, not surgery. I specifically had to schedule the appointment in Seffner in the first place because specialty surgeries such as this is only done at the Seffner location. Mom re-schedules the appt 3/23/22 for the soonest appointment they say they have, 4/13/22. I call the next day (because I can't get off of work 4/13/22 and my mom will be out of country) to reschedule the surgery the next week. I'm given the date of 4/18/22 1:10pm. I confirmed with the receptionist multiple times "and this appt is FOR MASS CELL REMOVAL SURGERY?" She confirms yes. I say usually you guys have the pet dropped off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon (this was what I knew from them being spayed previously). I am continuously re-assured the appt is for surgery and even given the approximate time the surgery takes, not to feed her after midnight, yada, yada, yada because I stressed to her the previous mishaps with her appointments. So I make arrangements for my daughter to be picked up from school that day and once again request off of work 2 days to take care of my Izzy. Fast forward to the day of surgery, I call just to confirm the length of surgery time to see if I'm staying there or going back home to wait. The receptionist is confused asking "you have a surgery today? In Seffner? Not a wellness visit? I'll call the Seffner location and call you right back." 2 hours later an employee from the Seffner location calls me (it's about 2 hours before I'm supposed to be there for what I thought, and was ensured was an appt to finally remove my baby's cancer) and informs me they only perform specialty surgeries such as this one on Wednesdays. I guess this is a historical known fact by everyone who works there. I'm a pretty understanding person but at this point I'm LIVID! Still polite but ask to speak to a manager or supervisor and I'm told she's not there and they don't know when she'll be in. The young lady was very apologetic and states she can get me in this WEDNESDAY, so the 2 days I took off of work are for nothing. I have to miss yet another day of work in order to get the surgery done. The morning of surgery I have some minor hiccups on communication but she finally has the mass removed. When it comes to having the sutures removed I have further issues. I'm given the appointment day/time of 5/16/22 2:15pm and physically write it in my calender and schedule to leave work a little early. I'm called 5/13/22 at 2:30pm and told my appointment was for today at 2:15pm. I'd already planned on transferring her after the surgery due to all of these issues but at this point I'm taking the sutures out myself. I'm in the medical field but suture removal was included in the surgery total and it really shouldn't be this difficult. I never received a response from the manage/supervisor and even with 4 dogs will pay the extra to transfer her to another vet. Between the days of work missed and crazy amount of stress I just can not have any further dealings with TLC. read more

I booked out my dogs appointment for vaccines MONTHS in advance, got an email to confirm it and everything. It just so happened to be the week my family was coming in for holiday but since they are apparently so overbooked, I could not change it. Not that it would matter as they do not answer the phones EVER anyway. Ruined the entire day as it was smack in the middle of the day, so we could not make any plans. My family was upset by this, but understanding. I check my email obsessively- I'm talking several times a day. Checked it when I woke up. Nothing. Missed calls? Zero. Voicemails? Nada. Go into the clinic, which is already not a short drive away, and they tell us the appointment has been cancelled. Are you fricken kidding me? THE LEAST YOU COULD HAVE DONE IS LET US KNOW! Apparently there has not been a doctor in ALL day so I'm not sure why they're so busy they cant even have the decency to let us know. Ruined mine and my family's entire day. Told us they couldn't get us in again for another month and a half to two months like it's my dogs fault they are unprofessional. Not to mention, my dog is obviously still unvaccinated so hopefully we can find a business that actually wants to do their job. Cancelled my other pets upcoming appointments too since it is clear they can not be trusted to use basic communication. I will never use this business again and I will be letting everyone know who recommended this place to me as well as anyone I see asking about it or vet related recommendations. Please don't listen to the other review, this place is incredible. Yes they are small and very busy at times, but they are by far the most affordable vet I've ever had. Every time I go it is never a bad experience and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The vet Doctor herself was in the waiting room helping with a dog that was too scared to go back into the exam room. Oh, and let me talk pricing. I'm a full time student and work part time so money is extremely tight. I'm able to afford all my vaccinations for my pup and his heartworm and flea treatment with ease! They will work with you if you are having money troubles! They even let me buy the heartguard as a one month supply so my out of pocket was only 6$! Love love love this place, and will recommend to everyone I know with fur babies! Thank you TLC! read more

Horrible experience. Very unprofessional staff. I would not bring your pet, we did not even stay to have our kitten seen. We ended up calling our normal vets. Stood there for 30 minutes and saw several concerning incidences, then we decided this wasn't the place for our kitten. Needless to say, we went to our regular and spent the same amount and had better care. Office was dirty, with pet urine. They were going to bring our kitten into the same room into as a cat with feline HIV and Leukemia which was the final straw. read more

Because I can't give a 0 Star review. This place is the lowest form of animal care. There's a $10 fee to go back with your pet and you have to argue why you want to. Now I understand, because they don't expect people who come to this cheap place to actually agree to do so. After seeing the single room they bring all animals into without disinfecting/cleaning between, and the way they handled a kitten with disregard to what I told them, I don't believe any sane pet owner would want to bring their animal here. I tried asking questions about my kitten's health and was brushed off and told it doesn't matter. I was insulted for having a certain breed that "behaved like a feral" (she's 7 weeks old). In the waiting room there was pee and throw up and after 20 mins a girl finally came out with a towel and wiped it up. No disinfectant, didn't get it all. If that's how they treat their lobby I don't want to know about the back areas. I watched them shame a young girl for not having fixed animals, going so far as saying "I euthanize hundreds of puppies because of people like that". I nor anyone I know will ever bring any animal back here, and I am sorry for the people that do. read more

I couldn't leave a worse review so one star it is. I recently fixed a litter of feral cats here so they wouldn't reproduce the neighborhood. when I came to receive them back, not only were they rude but the kittens were covered in urine and feces. stank so bad I had to have my truck cleaned. one of them couldn't even move for almost 4 hrs. I thought he was going to die. A friend emailed them to ask what was up and when I received a call back it was basically to say they followed procedure and I must be mistaken. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I brought 4 cats in feral mom and her 3 sons to be fixed. Made the appointment 2 weeks in advance. Drop them off to be told later that afternoon that I couldn't pick them up until the next day as they had some complications and my animals wouldn't be done until the next day. Girl was horrible on the phone about it told me I had a Choice, leave them overnight or pick them up unaltered. 2 weeks later my female is sick as anything. So I call. They give me an appointment time for Same day and I bring her in.. I'm not on the list. Had to leave for work. They tell me to come back at 8 an next morning. So I call later in afternoon to confirm my appointment for next day, still not on the books! They finally get me in the system. I go. Vet was HORRIBLE! Yelling at me, telling me that its my fault etc. I go to another vet for second opinion. Find out that she has an abcess due to surgery and she has a virus from the TLC. Now I have 5 other cats at home. So now $700.00 LATER AND STILL NOT DONE, I have 2 cats in the hospital because of TLC. I WILL NEVER TAKE A DEAD FLEA TO THEM! read more
