I asked for two front tires and to balance all four wheels. Also I asked the manager if they could…read moreget my ball hitch out of the mount because it was rusted in there tight . The "tech" was very confident he could remove the hitch ball. Although he was able to remove it by beating on it he lit the plastic above the mount on fire several times causing it to melt and deform. Then when the "tech" went to put all four wheels back on he broke six lug nuts off of three of the hubs. I had to get it towed by my tow company I use. They claimed it was the previous shop who did work on my truck last that tightened the lug nuts down too much causing them to break off. Even is that was remotely true why would the tech continue to use an air gun on all of the lug nuts after breaking the first one off. He kept going to see how many he could break. The service manager denied responsibility for the damage and said the repairs were on me. I wasn't going to argue with the manager or "tech" so I brought my truck to my shop who fixed the studs. Over $800 later took them all day to fix mavis damage. Why couldn't they offer to replace the studs there? I called corporate and the regional manager returned my call after a week and a half off me reaching out to the number provided here on the Yelp reply. The regional manager resolved the ticket with satisfactory outcome.

The best repair shop around. Friendly, knowledgeable and ethical. Gil is the best. Can't…read morerecommend highly enough.

Yesterday, I would have agreed with all of the reviews for A to Z auto. I really dislike doing this…read morebut I don't appreciate being lied to. Gil farmed my work out to a specialist which I was ok with. I was promised to be charged his shop price- cool. What happened next was completely out of Gil's control. The other shop kept my truck for 2 weeks due to some snafu regarding parts for the repair. It was frustrating for me because it was my work truck. During one of our discussions, I told Gil I may have to rent a car for the weekend. He offered to help with that as he felt bad that the other shop was taking so long. ( Gil was frustrated too with dealing with the other shop) At one point Gil told me to deal with the other shop by myself. When my truck was finally finished I paid a higher price than what was quoted because I was no longer getting Gil's shop price. Gil offered to make up the difference but then reneged on that offer saying he couldn't do it. As I had to have a fluid change at 500 miles I asked if he would do it and he agreed to for only the price of the materials. Well, today my truck was ready for pick up and he quoted me a price that clearly included labor charges. When I reminded him that he agreed to do the job for the price of materials he kept reciting excuses why he couldn't. He finally relented and I got the price HE originally agreed to. I never held Gil and Jayne accountable for the misgivings of the other shop, and I told them that. A to Z has done some good work on my truck at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. This is why I went back to them. I certainly trust the quality of their work, but this? Three broken promises is a bit too much for me to accept. I finally found a decent mechanic and now, unfortunately, I have to find another.

I believe we can all collectively agree that pumping gas is not a difficult job. However in our…read morefine state, NJ deems it must be done by an Attendant rather than by yourself. So when you pull up to the pump and say "fill it with supreme" you trust you will get what you asked for. I did not. My car has after market parts and a tune that requires 93 octane fuel or it will not not run properly and I could even damage the engine. So imagine my reaction when I learned the Attendant had put regular fuel in my car even after confirming that I said "premium" . I was upset to say the least and when I confronted him about this he said "you should be fine, what can you do?". Even after I informed him of my need for 93 he maintained his nonchalant reaction and didn't offer to help in any way. There is an Exxon a couple blocks down the road that is actaully cheaper than this one but I always went to this one to support the family run station. No longer. You have permanently lost a customer.

I had my jeep inspected here. NJ motor vehicle inspection can come with long lines and long waits…read moreso I decided to go to a local shop. The technician here was quick and got me, and my jeep in and out of the service bay quick. The gas prices were a little high but what can you expect in a tourist area by the beach. All in all I vote an A for service. It seemed to be a family run business where the owners are local residents and the gas attendants were local high school kids.. If you want to shop local add this place to your list. By the way I passed inspection YAY :)
