Amazing Work!!!! My wife and I had major construction on our…read morehouse in Winter Park over the past two years. When the work was finally completed, we were left with no grass, no flowers and no plants - pretty much a barren wasteland that looked horrible. As we put the word out to landscape designers, we started to get contacted by several companies wanting to quote the work. Steve from S & L was the first to respond. He was punctual and professional at the estimate appointment, COMPLETELY understood the assignment as we described what we wanted and provided a very reasonable quote for the work we requested (he even provided us with a thorough sketch of our vision the very next day!) This was a marked difference from the other companies - some wanted to charge us just for their plan (!), some had to be chased down for a follow up, some missed their scheduled appointments and others were ridiculously high with their estimates. Throughout the planting/installation process, Steve and his team were in constant communication with us, asking us to check their progress as we moved forward so that we were all on the same page (even offering GREAT suggestions). My wife and I could not be happier with the results. We have a beautiful lawn of new sod, several beds of native Florida plants and trees and dramatic uplighting that makes our home look like it was photographed by House and Garden. We honestly couldn't recommend Steve and his team enough. We're VERY happy customers!

I am writing to share a warning regarding our recent experience with S & L Landscape Diversified in…read moreFlorida, owned by Steve Nease. Our project was significantly overcharged, including instances of double billing. The company used low-quality materials that did not match what was agreed upon: the sod was low-grade and brown, the Agave plants were frostbitten and rotten, and no weed-prevention matting was installed, leading to immediate weed growth. The final result is worse than our original garden, and we now have to hire another contractor to fix the damage. Additionally, because Steve failed to pay his suppliers, the sod company has placed a lien on our home. Please exercise extreme caution if you are considering working with this contractor. They are unprofessional, rely heavily on subcontractors, and mislead customers regarding the quality of their work. We fully agree with the negative experiences previously shared by others, such as Jessica H., Alex K. they did the same things again used materials off of their old job. We wish we had seen those warnings prior to hiring this company. We are sharing our experience to help protect others from these dishonest practices.

Also to remove a ligustrum bush and to plant 5 snowbushes on the easement. Dan rescheduled the start of the job a couple of times. No big deal. On the day he started, a Friday, he broke a couple of sprinkler heads. Mind you, the sprinkler heads that were to water the new bushes and sod on the easement. He said he would come back Saturday to fix them. He called Saturday morning to say he was stuck in traffic in Lake Nonna and would be back on Monday to fix them. He showed up Tuesday. On Tuesday he broke my entire sprinkler system.. Nothing would turn on. He said he did not know how to fix it and I should call a sprinkler company. I did. I had them fixed and he came out on a Wednesday to lay the stones and the pavers. He worked very hard all day. I need to mention here that I have an oak tree that is lit up every night at 8:30 to honor my son who has passed away. He cut the wire to the tree. Again, he didn't know how to fix it so I called my electrician in. This was a 7500 job. Then I had to pay my electrician and my sprinkler guy on top of that, for things Dan broke but refused to take responsibilty for. Accidents happen. I understand. But Dan's response is unprofessional at best. I have worked with this company before and I can say Marc is a professional. I cannot say the same for Dan.

While he didn't use pre-fab fence panels to save on the site work, I was a little concerned about the additional labor, the solution was overlapping boards and even boxing around a small tree in the way on the side yard. I recommend Jerry and his team for your outdoor needs. He thinks though the solution options and delivers!
