I tried the place I knew but it was closed. Lucky for me, this place was right across the street. I won't bore you with the details of why Vicksburg is a special place to me. Just know that it is. I haven't been in a long time so stopping for coffee brought back some great memories. Anyway, back to the review. This is an incredibly cool place. The clothing is outdoor focused and very stylish. The coffee is very good and rivals most full time coffee houses. Plus it has parish in the name so this Louisiana boy is a fan.

While I'm not personally a duck hunter, it was interesting to see a call in the process of being made as I waited for my coffee! This shop appears small, but when you walk inside you won't believe your eyes. Christmas decorations of all different sizes, shapes, colors and styles literally packed floor to ceiling (There were hundreds of items on the ceiling alone). When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a wonderful staff with everyone asking us if we needed something. One lady really took a particular interest in what he was doing and helped him out immensely. While he was on a guided tour of the shop I wandered around. I'm not a Christmas person at all, but was very tempted to take a lot home with me. As it was, I bought a great resin Dog with a light up headband and the price was well within line. I only wish I could get the people I work at the Home Depot where I work to learn that this kind of service will boost sales immensely.
