She made sure not only were we satisfied with our purchase, but we were able to fit our furniture in the car as a group of women. I always find something. I get most of my workout clothes here, as well as eyelashes. Some of the customers are rude, they act like you're in their territory if you're close to something they want, to the point that they'll shove my stroller around or huff and puff. I guess that's what happens at a discount store in a town with a lot of upper middle class older women...but ladies, we are all buying the stuff discount, no need to act like that. A breath of fresh air after the nightmare that is the Manhattan TJ Maxx. As a rule suburban TJ Maxxs tend to have a better selection, friendlier staff, and cleaner appearance than their urban counterparts. I've never left this store without buying something I need (or want) and I always know I didn't pay retail! read more

Honey's mother and I share a love of TJ Maxx. It's everything the commercial tells you---it's low prices, brand name, and great quality. I like coming here because not many young people do, so I have a lot of selection to choose from for the "trendier" stuff. My aunt and I stopped into this location just to check it out and see if there was anything our usual TJ Maxx's didn't have that we may need. This location is in a nice strip mall and the interior of the store is clean and neat. You can never call a TJ Maxx organized since it's everything just kind of thrown together on shelves and racks. But it certainly wasn't as bad as some of the other TJ Maxx stores that I have been in. This day we didn't find anything to buy but that won't stop us from stopping in again! read more

Small TJ Maxx. Nice jewelry counter with a friendly associate. They have a little bit of everything. My favorite was the jewelry. Clean and organized for a Saturday evening. The bed sheets selection was sad. I liked the store and would visit again if ever in this area visiting. read more

TJ Maxx is a normal discount clothing store that may surprise you from time to time. It has very inexpensive cloths, shoes, and other items for anyone on a budget. You can practically furnish your wardrobe for half the cost of going to a big name store for cloths. read more

I am appalled and will never return to this store ever again. My sister was in the fitting room trying on dresses and I walked in to look at them and the lady said " are you trying anything on?" I said "No just looking at my sister try clothes on." I kept walked past the desk and the lady came up behind me and had one of the number signs in her hand and slapped my shoulder with it and said " you need this" It was a plastic sign that said 0 . I whipped around and I said " why did you just slap me with that that was completely out of line" and she said " no it wasn't." I then found the store manager who happened to be a "visiting manager" and told her exactly what happened and how ridiculous it was. read more

In June I purchased a piece of luggage from this TJ Maxx store. Less than a month later I used it for the first time to travel to Ireland. My luggage arrived at JFK in one piece but on the flight from JFK to Dublin Airport the stitching between the zipper and the canvas ripped open, leaving the entire top of my luggage exposed. My flights had already been delayed and I was late for a pickup, so I didn't have time to visit their damaged luggage department, but after having worked many years in retail sales, I was confident the store would do something for me when I returned home. Duct tape saved the day and when I came home a week later I took the luggage to store expecting a refund, exchange or store credit. The manager was rude and insulting when explaining to me why this wasn't their problem and refused to help me at all. I was told to take it up with the manufacturer who told me because I bought it at TJ Maxx I was out of luck. I contacted TJ Maxx's main customer service line and they said the same thing - it wasn't their fault or problem. This was after he called the store manager to get his side of the story and coming just short of calling me a liar. I am flabbergasted that a company would allow a customer to leave the store with a very clearly damaged piece of merchandise and not offer at least something to appease them. I was a loyal (and frequent) customer of this store and this chain and I will NEVER go back and will encourage my friends and family to follow suit. I know the ins and outs of retail and customer service, and TJ Maxx failed on all accounts. "Its not our problem" isn't going to make me come running back to spend money there, that's for sure.
