I really liked Tito's. I liked Tito himself. This is one of the businesses I'm really looking forward to visiting again, as soon as this COVID business is done and gone with, 'cause that's gonna happen soon, right? RIGHT? Sure it will. But getting back to Tito, he said hello as soon as I walked in and welcomed me in. Small town business with a historical back story to it. After walking in and looking around for a bit Mr. Tito came up and explained where where all the different pieces of art and pottery came from. Everything is unique from a different local artists or from an African school/artist in Kenya. Plenty of creative art pieces to look at and or purchase. The prices range from donation to a few hundred dollars. He showed the jail cells that were left behind from former police station days. They're now used as storage but you can still get the picture of what they were when he shows them to you. If you get a chance, definitely stop in and check this shop out. Tito Chavez is one of the most talented and hard working artisans I have ever met. Ten years ago I walked into his gallery on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, chose six turquoise stones under Tito's wide guidance and in three days he had made a beautiful cross necklace piece out of silver and the stones! He made a larger one for me three years later. Beautiful and enduring craftsmanship. Tito and his wife Mary maintain a magnificent gallery of local artists' and crafters' creations.
