We had a business account with them until they decided they didn't want us as a customer. Honestly them closing our account is the best thing that could have happened, as we were going to close it anyways. The frustration with this bank started when they placed checks, and I mean every single check we deposited, on hold. I understand checks being placed on hold to confirm funds, but the holds they place are for 10-15 business days. The last check we deposited, they placed on a 13 day hold, even though Wells Fargo, the bank listed on the check, confirmed funds were available. We went to the Chase branch and the manager got her feelings hurt, I guess because the following week she decided she was freezing our business checking account. We didn't even know until we went back up to the branch because the debit card started declining even with funds in the account. So to sum it up, the check that was on hold for 13 days, just became available today and I tried to transfer the money out since the account was getting closed. The manager proceeds to lock the online account access, to where we can't even log in and see the funds or transactions in our account anymore. We were told we will be mailed a check in 3 1/2 weeks. That means they won't even put the check in the mail until 10/24. If you like being able to access your money, do NOT use Chase!! SUPER unprofessional.

My family have been Ameris Bank customers since the switchover from Fidelity years ago and more…read morespecifically, this location. This Ameris Bank is located in Ashley Park just behind Burger King and is your standard bank branch. The building is clean, well-maintained and features several walk up spots, an ATM and of course a drive thru. Service is normally friendly, with several long time tellers greeting our family upon each visit. We have a checking and savings account here. Never had issues with either. While I wish the savings paid more, seems like they are in line with other big box bank savings accounts. Overall, the Ameris brand is not large enough for my personal banking, but it does the job and has for many years for my parents.
