Tied me up after he got my payment (first a death in the family, then under a house, then sick, then he was in the hospital..sigh) and proceeded to bill me $275.00 service fees for each time he went to the house totaling over the deposit amount I sent him on the bid and did barely any work on the deal. In September 2020, we paid Shawn Baker of Catch 22 Solutions to knock down some trees on our…read moreproperty, which he did to our satisfaction. He then quoted us a price of $800.00 for removal of the fallen timber. We paid him up front, believing that he would make good on this commitment. Big mistake. Nine months later the timber is still on our property. I have had lengthy text exchanges with Mr. Baker since then. He stated that he had been unable to find anyone to do the job. I told him that was fine and that he could just refund the money. Since then, I have received nothing but evasions and excuses for why he cannot refund our money. He even had the audacity to accuse me of harassing him and issued me "warnings" to stop. I filed with the Better Business Bureau and he failed to respond. Short of going to court, I have exhausted all means at my disposal in getting him to make this situation right. I checked the company's reviews on Facebook and discovered that I am not the only customer who has had this kind of experience with him. I even offered to let him pay the money back in monthly installments and he still failed to show any commitment even to that. In short, he took the money and ran. If you're looking for a company to perform landscaping or excavation on your property, look elsewhere. If I could give fewer than zero stars, I would. Ridiculous.
