Ok thanks to my teeny-tiny girl & fellow Yelper Laura G, this place has been bookmarked for many months but it closes at 4pm. I am so glad I finally made it here. Another off the beaten path place. It's in an industrial park on a street across from the Tanger Outlets. You could pass it a million times & never know what heavenly deliciousness is being made inside. Oh did I mention EVERYTHING is made On Site! First off it's totally AUTHENTIC all Greek! I must've shocked the crap out of them walking through the door. How would I know this place existed?! An older Greek couple was walking out as I walked in. To my left & right there's spices, oregano, olive oils, grape leaves, etc. I keep walking, passing the Greek soda & cheeses while overhearing the lady at the counter speaking Greek to the 2 ladies behind the counter while they are stuffing her 3 shopping bags full of goodies. Oh my what's that?! Baklava?! How many different kinds? Is that cake? Wait, do I see olives?! OMG cookies too?! I asked for a sampler of 4 things sweet. A piece of that circle shaped olive pastry thing & a piece of the tomato, olive & cheese pastry. The nice young lady proceeded to fill a tray with an assortment of almost every sweet she had. I say, Wait! I'm sorry I just wanted these 4 things. She smiles & says yes I know, but these I give for free for you to try. I love her! Thank you! Thank you so much! Now everything was delicious. The pastries were perfectly made with just the right amount of honey syrup. Not overly sweet. But that pastry with the tomatoes, olives & cheese! MIND BLOWING!!! My son was mad I only bought one. He said he'd become a vegetarian if all vegetables tasted this good. I wish I knew the proper names for these items. But that's ok I have Yelp! I'll show a picture & say I want more of this! Do yourself a favor & get down here. You have to experience this place, it's awesome! 6-24-2016

Stopped in last week to purchase some frozen Greek spanakopita's, fresh feta and assorted sweets. Was really looking forward to trying this place out after going many times to Titan foods in Astoria. Outlet store is very small, but there's a lot of stuff packed into the space so it's good. Prices are about the same as their other store. Desserts though weren't as fresh tasting as we had hoped. Same for the cooked spinach and cheese pies, it was just ok. Walnut honey cookies were by far the best item we purchased on this trip. Just OK

I read good things about Nazar recently so was itching to try it. I came on a weekend around…read morebrunch time and there were already a bunch of people who had ordered and were waiting for their food. There seemed to be a decent amount of seating inside and all of the stuff displayed looked very good. I ordered the Adana Kebab ($16) to eat in. With tax included, it came out to $17.33. They had a big pot of tea for customers in the back so I got a cup of that as my beverage and it went pretty well w/ the kebab meal. It seemed like they prepared my food fresh, so it took a little while for it to come out, maybe about 15 min. The food was really good overall. The meal came with 2 kebabs and rice, a piece of bread, and a side salad. All of it was very solid. The bread was good, maybe not mind blowing, but tasty. The side salad seemed freshly prepared and was actually very good and crunchy w/ the red cabbage they put in. The rice was good too. The star of the show was def the kebabs. They were slightly on the smaller side, and I wished I got a little bit more of them w/ the meal. They were really satisfying though and I could've ate another 2 kebabs easy. I really enjoyed my meal (it was the highlight of my day) but my reviews always end in a value analysis, and I think the value was a bit lacking in my experience. I would consider $17.33 to be a lot for what I got. The meal should've been closer to $12 at most in my opinion. I can definitely see why this place is highly rated though, and look forward to trying it again at some point down the line.

He said he's been coming to this bakery for quite some time and his brother always buys a bunch of things when he visits. There was plenty of free parking on a Saturday night and the store itself was brightly lit. Very spacious inside and very clean. I was surprised at the variety and amount of items for sale! Everything was stocked pretty full, especially the cookies and individual pastries. I believe everything goes by weight when you're purchasing the cookies and pastries but if you have any questions, the staff were super sweet, patient and helpful! Hubby purchased an assortment of items like eclairs, cookies, rainbow cookies, cannolis and some sort of Napoleon looking pastry. Although some were a bit on the sweeter side (I have a sweet tooth too), everything was very delicious! I was very surprised that the butter cookies were really good because those are usually my least favorite anywhere I go. The rainbow cookies were also very good! There were no tables and chairs for customers so if you were planning on sitting down to enjoy something, sorry! I did see a small round table with two stools next to it but the table contained their cake binder so I'm assuming it's used for cake related orders.
