My granddaughter was traveling back home, by herself from Williston, North Dakota to Georgia. Her car broken down in Watertown, South Dakota. The kind employees calmed her nerves and helped her figure out the problem. They gave her great advice, amazing support and assured her things would be alright. We were traveling from Iowa to Minnesota on a Saturday when we had our wheelbearing go out on our truck on the interstate. We limped into one tire shop but they were unable to help us. Most places in Watertown are closed on Saturdays but we found Tires Plus. We were told to bring it in at 3 and they would see what they could do. We had it towed in at 2 and they started on it as soon as they could. Unfortunately everything had melted together due to the heat. We thought for sure we would be spending Sat-Mon in Watertown but two of the the techs went above and beyond the call of duty. Justin and Zach ended up staying a couple hours late after closing time to be able to get our vehicle fixed so we could continue on our way. Justin was wonderful about coming out and keeping us updated on everything as it went along, he was able to get the needed part and didn't kick us out at closing time. This was a Saturday evening and they gave up their time to help us. It was a tough job since everything kind of fused together and took a lot of work but they helped us out and we went on to finish our trip on Saturday. This place was amazing and we will keep them in mind whenever we travel that way again. Tires Plus management should be very proud of the ethic these two guys have. read more

I'm living at home in Aberdeen until I get settled into my new place here in Watertown, so I drive back and forth from Watertown and Aberdeen almost every day. Today while I was at work a friend of mine saw that my tire was slashed. It was 5:30 and with places closing or not having the tire I need on hand I was running out of options and hope. Thankfully I called Tires Plus and they had they tire I needed on hand and were willing to stay open until I got off work to put on my new tire so I could drive back home. I am so beyond grateful for the staff here and the amazing work they did! read more

I should have just fixed the tire myself. I Went in with a screw in a tire, it was towards the side of the tread, and they tried to put a patch on it and couldn't get it to hold, which is somewhat understandable being it's toward the sidewall, so I asked them to plug it. So they did and I go out to look at it and the wheel is beat up all around the lugs from them trying to get them off. The lugs were a bit tuff to get off but there is no reason the wheel should be damaged like this and I'm not just talking scuffs, there was actually aluminum dented pretty bad, very noticeable and for sure the first winter the clear coat would start to peal due to it being banged up so bad. So I walked back in and said that this was completely unacceptable. The thing that made me the most mad was that they didn't even say anything before I went and looked at it. The owner then tried to tell me that "it should file out and a little polish to clean it up" that doesn't work when the aluminum is dented and chipped, the clear coat is gone so now it will corrode. So after quite a while of arguing I finally convinced him to do something about it. He said he would look up the price of a used one. He called back and said they would replace it with a used one. Which they did and should, but then there is still the fact of the bill. The cost for fixing the tire was not to bad. But then there's the price of new lug nuts being the other ones got destroyed. This was $30 for FIVE lug nuts! Anyone can walk into any auto parts store and pick them up for $3 a lug. Which would be $15 and they have got to be getting them for cheaper than what anyone can buy them for at a store! I again brought this up to the owner and he said "well we have to make some money on the deal" and I said well the wheel being wrecked should have never happened in the first place! After arguing for a while I finally convinced him to give $5 back ($25 for lug nuts) which is still quite a bit more than the $15 at any auto parts store. So now it's a $47 bill (including the $5 given back) to fix a screw hole in a tire and a whole bunch more hassle! I would hate to see what would happen had I been someone who didn't know what they were talking about and just paid the bill and left. Makes me sick! read more
