I had the zippers in my daughter's tall equestrian show boots replaced . Initially we had one zipper replaced. They did such a great job exactly matching the other zipper when the zipper on the other boot broke as well we had that done at Tip Top too. Saved us buying and breaking in new boots. It did take a couple of weeks, but the job was worth the wait. read more

I had my shoes broken after going once to my friend birthday and found this Tip Top Shoe Service on my way home. I really loved my shoes so I was hoping they would do something to them. When I walked in, I sow good looking lady , she was polite to me and answered questions I had. They have done all the work really good and fast. Also I bought a pair of their leather shoes , and they welcomed me the whole time I was in their store. New owners are nice people. Recommend this shop for sure!!! Terrible experience. Good luck getting these people to help you. I asked the clerk to please put on her mask because the place is tiny with no air circulation. I guess she didn't like it because the shoemaker refused to fix my shoe. The clerk, who is also the shoemaker's interpreter, said he said my shoe stinks (which it doesn't) and he would not perform simple repair. I spoke with my wonderful regular shoe maker in N.E. He laughed, said he always sprays worn shoes with lysol and invited me to mail my shoe to him for repair. read more

I own very expensive Johnston and Murphy dress shoes and one pair, a hole developed in one of the sole. I went into this establishment because they close at 5 pm, where other repair shops close earlier. I didn't think the shoe was repairable. I was excited that the cobbler said he could repair it and replace the heals. Its a family operation and the members are from Ukraine. (They are collecting donations for Ukraine refugees. Please consider dropping off some cash). I picked up my shoes one week later and they looked like the day I bought the shoes. i read reviews where people are upset because they won't quote a price over the phone. Seriously, how could they just give a price without seeing the item. I found the price reasonable and ready when promised. I've been in once, to get 3 holes punched in a leather strap, $1 per hole, no tax, and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. This looks to be a mom and pop low overhead operation, and very old school. The man is the cobbler and I assume it's his wide who answers the phone and covers the front desk. Neither speak English well; the may be from Eastern Europe. As someone who has lived abroad, please show some patience for immigrants to our country. The woman had very broken English, though she could understand me perfectly well. I can also understand why they would be hesitant to give an estimate without looking at the shoe, leather bag or whatever you need repaired - an auto body shop or a mechanic wouldn't quote you a price without seeing the car. Show a little patience and you might be surprised that this small little shop does a fine job. read more

One was repairable (great job!) and the other was not (only by coming to the shop could that be determined). The man who answered the phone and who I assume runs the store was sooo rude to me! I simply asked him for a guesstimate on how much a sole replacement would be on a pair of mens leather boots size 10 and he told me I'd have to bring them in. I told him it's a far drive and I'd just like an idea of how much. Then he told me he wouldn't talk about it and then hung up! He can forget about my busineess! I'm pissed.
