1st visit here @ The Swiss Deli. We thoroughly enjoyed our steaks (there were 8 rib eyes!) and pork…read morechops and chicken and pasta! Wait Staff - Edwin was our Server and I'm glad that he has a great sense of humor and so flexible and has a go-with-the-flow attitude. Coz I was being my usual nitpicky self. Thank you for being patient with me and my FamBam. :-) Restroom - Clean and roomy. I approve! In the Philippines, restrooms are not usually equipped with toilet paper and the flush lever doesn't usually work. The Swiss Deli's restroom (Women) is well looked after. Although I question: Why is the trash bin inside the restroom is labeled BIODEGRADABLE? When the Female customers have our personal hygiene products to dispose of during our menstrual cycle, where should these items be disposed of if not in the trash bin inside the restroom?!?!??! I should've mentioned it to The Manager. Parking - 4 parking spaces in front of the The Swiss Deli (right where the COW Statue is grazing. And parking in the back also. Consider the front parking area coz The Swiss Deli is located on a very busy intersection and main road. I suggest when parking, to back into the parking space to make it easier to maneuver when merging into the flow of traffic. Payments - Credit Cards are accepted... Cash is always the preferred currency in the Philippines! ;-) Beverages - Well..... the Mango Shake was very tart that I couldn't even consume 1/4 of the glass. It was taken out of the bill, (",) Desserts - Since there's the deli is the 1st room a customer encounters after going in, there's a whole assortment of cheese, pastries, liquor and chocolates, and etc! FOOD Australian Ribeye Steak - The 5 members of my FamBam didn't leave a piece of this steak on their plates. It was delicious, according to all 5 Human Beings. All 5 ordered Medium cooked RibEye and ONLY 1 out of 5 got it correct. Yet, everyone still finished their steaks. US Angus RibEye Steak - 3 of us ordered it Medium Cooked. Received 2 Medium Well and 1 Well-Done... Took mine back to the kitchen and came back with a perfectly Medium cooked RibEye steak! Obviously the side was STEAMED WHITE RICE! :-) Chicken Breast with mushroom sauce, Pork Chops, Pork Steak - these FamBam members didn't feel like having a RibEye Steak. I'm glad for their choices coz I get to have bite out of each. The Pork Chop was tasty. The Chicken Breast was delish also, specially the mushroom cream sauce. Pork Steak was delish also. Overall - It's certainly delish and good food. Cost-wise, it's not super expensive. I'm still just going to limit going to The Swiss Deli coz I'm that kind of cheapskate and will only splurge occasionally on expensive meals. Correct, it is an expensive place to be to have a good and quality food. Correct, the form of payment is credit card also. However, CASH IS ALWAYS PREFERRED IN THE PHILIPPINES.

I love this little cafe. Also the chairs and couches and walls aren't good anymore either - hence the cheap interior), but stay for the food! It's a great cafe that serves great meals. I love their frappes and shakes, coffees and teas and everything else - except their desserts! I usually order their green tea frappe (which is heaven) or just take the usual Americano when I feel like I need an afternoon kick. Their pastas and rice meals are great. I order their steamed Dory in melted Parmesan and other cheeses and it just melts in your mouth!!!! I also really like their aglio olio pasta Don't stay for desserts. Like their cheap interior, their desserts put you off. It might look aight but when you dig through it it's just crap in your mouth. DONT!

Their food is very seasonal. Sometimes it tastes great, sometimes it tastes like crap. And it's…read morefrustrating because this restaurant started out so well in Davao and now the flavors are always fleeting. Their location might not be easy to pick up. It around a Main Street corner but it's a street not often passed by cars so people might have a hard time looking for this place if it's their first time around the city. You might have a problem with parking too. Despite a lot of parking spots available, people just love going back to this place (no matter what season), so you have to come early to park outside the restaurant itself. They have extra space for parking further down a tight alley but it's up to you if you want to risk walking down from there to the restaurant at night. Price wise - when the food is good, it's worth it. When it's not, it's like paying a lot for crap basically.

We tried ordering some of their dishes they are known for and were told they were sold out which made no sense to me. The food was ok but not as great as some reviews were saying I have had better. I just wasn't reallly impressed for what you pay for and get. The soup was salty the chicken was ok and the sisig was alright. The group did enjoy the fancy drinks they ordered and deserts.

Pros: very generous with servings! Flavors are 18/10 and it's all cooked in its quirky unique ways while maintaining a traditional flavor. Price is fair for he amount of food you get AND its seafood. Some dishes are actually cheap like a bowl of shrimps or tuna belly but you might also find some other dishes that are more expensive than most! Cons: parking is sometimes used by customers who go to other restaurants. You wait 40mins-1 hour for your food, which isn't good when you're hungry and excited! The ambiance is... It's authentic French food for a very reasonable price (meaning it's still a bit pricey; ranging from 200-1,500php depends on what meals you get). The place isn't really as big and it could be PACKED most days!! It's a family or date night restaurant and you wouldn't want to miss this experience!! The place is well lit and has a very light French ambiance! The owner is usually there and he really takes care of his customers!! He talks to you and really explains the meals set up! They have a set menu which changes from time to time and they also have the usuals on another menu! The quality of the ingredients are up top and the flavors are all packed well in a single dish!!!!! We had the crepe with salad, fried duck and pesto pasta with truffle and goat cheese and it was heaven in every bite!we also got the chocolate pot for dessert and their apple tart with vanilla ice cream and I've never had French desserts as good as the one I had in this restaurant!!! **Great Food, But Portions Have Shrunk**…read more My girlfriend and I love Rekado. We first ate here last year and were amazed by their kare-kare and lechon kawali. Fast forward to this year, I brought my girlfriend and my brother to eat again. While the food was still delicious, the portions were significantly smaller--about 50% less. I posted a comparison of the kare-kare and lechon kawali dishes: on the left is April 2023, and on the right is May 2024. You can see that the portions have literally halved or more. Additionally, this time, the kare-kare had only one piece with actual meat, and it was very little. When we visited, there was an event, and we asked the server how long it would take for the food. The estimate was 15-20 minutes, but the food arrived in 25-30 minutes. It would have been fine if our expectations had been set correctly from the start, so we could have ordered appetizers since we were already hungry. Overall, the food is still delicious, but please improve the portion sizes.
