I highly recommend this school My son attended Tiny Blocks since he was 2 years and he loved it. I have to say with all honesty this is the best preschool-daycare in the area, All the teachers and office staff are beyond amazing and the quality of care, respect, inside is outstanding, they are qualified caregivers who really care about the kids. Ran into numerous issues with this prek/vpk provider: language barrier, high student to teacher ratio, bullying, lack of organization, lack of communication. Did a fair amount of time on researching and ran into a frustrated parent similar to myself: "If your kid is smart, energetic, curious, and not submissive, he/she will have problems here. My 2 yr old was kicked out of here because he was "defiant" and "unpredictable". The director recommended me to a child psychologist that obviously has a relationship with the facility. She charged me more than $1000 to tell me that my kid won't sit in a circle and listen to a story and that his desire to climb, move, explore, jump, push, etc was abnormal for a 2 yr old boy. I subsequently took him to a recommended neurologist and had him evaluated by a state sponsored early intervention. They both said that he is completely normal developmentally and that he is intellectually and linguistically advanced for his age. They both said that the "circle time" was boring for him and completely normal for him to want to avoid that. The neurologist actually verbalized his disgust that the daycare recommended that we consult a child psychologist and suggested to us that the problem is with the daycare and not out child. We subsequently put him in a daycare that is far less fancy, far less elite, and almost half the price. It's smaller, but this means the supervision and redirection and more immediate. In addition, they do "time-out" which discovery refused to do. His happiness, anxiety, and behavior changes are profound. I feel so guilty as a parent for allowing my child to be a "target" at Discovery for as long as I did. As a new parent, I assumed they were experts and knew more than I did. I should have listened to my intuition. The medical expert consultations confirmed that Discovery was completely wrong. In our search for a new daycare, we learned that the other daycares in the area are familiar with our story and the practices of Discovery's inability or unwillingness to deal with kids with high energy. They are interested only in maintaining an environment and an image that allows them to charge a premium. They want slow, low energy kids that will sit still and make the classroom look like an organized, controlled environment. This is 2 yr olds we're talking about. Do your homework and know your kid. If he/she is smart, curious, energetic, independent, etc. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!" We have been attending Tiny Block for almost a year now and I can not express how grateful I am to have found the right place for my little one. My son started at 1 year old and I wish he could have went there as an infant. The owner is understanding, patient and always willing to talk to you about your child's needs. She is an expert in the field. As a first time parent I feel extremely comfortable with my son being there. The teachers are kind and always have a positive attitude. My two children have been going to Tiny Blocks Preschool for about two years now. This is their second home. The owner takes pride in her business and it shows. Since the first day my boys have been going here they have felt comfortable and so have I. The school is always clean and it feels like a family. I never have to worry about my children or wonder what is going on. Everything is communicated effectively and I really sincerely feel they do an amazing job. Both my kids attend. Tiny Blocks is like a big family. My older one just graduated from VPK, not only he has made a lots of good friends along the way, he is ready for kindergarten! I called to get more information about this day care and the staff member are extremely rude and unkind nasty talking . I was hung up on after being put on hold multiple times because the original lady I spoke with needed to ask another staff member the answer to my question , so another lady returned on the phone and hung up on me I called back in to tell her that was rude to do and she did it again . If they don't care about the parents what makes you think these staff will care for your child ??? Think about this before placing your child here . My daughter went there for a couple years and I feel that the Director and the teachers were excellent. I do feel that the director's assistant does need some training in customer service. Not only me, but my entire family felt a very cold vibe from her. I would walk in and out from picking up my daughter and I wouldn't get a hello or goodbye. As working for a big company myself, I strive myself on customer service. I do feel however that the director and the teachers were great there for a child needing to go to pre-school, just a little coaching on being friendly would be recommended. read more

I love this preschool. It is impeccably clean and never once smelly! The staff was very caring to my active child and always worked with me thorough milestones. They are firm and fair. I felt comfortable walking in and being able to see/ hear my child quickly. The classes are small in size and the teachers do a great job with all the children. I love that the play yard outside is very well covered from the sun, which is great for the hot and sunny summers. I love that there are not wall to wall ceilings but walls that come up about 5 feet. Just enough to let me peek once I leave my child in the classroom. The faculty was always friendly and attentive to my child's needs. Sadly, I moved and Tiny Blocks is too far for my child to attend. The Director contacted me to see how he was doing and even tried to calm my anxiety of attending a new preschool, by telling me to give it a few weeks. My children have been students in Tiny Blocks for 5 years. I am a mother of 6, and have been around preschools over the years since. I myself have years of related work experience, with only very reputable schools and directors. With this said, I know a great school when I see one. I know what it takes to provide the best care possible, for all of the children individually and equally...... lets just say, it takes a village. That is exactly what you will find in her school, each and every teacher your child comes across has nothing short of love for these children. It is a very small school and the chances of teachers interacting with all students for one reason or another. The director is proud and protective of her students and requires top notch care from her teachers. As far as some of these negative reviews go, its unfortunate that they view this school in that light. Ive witnessed some behaviors of certain children that in my opinion, probably needed more structure and discipline from home. I guess it would be hard to hear your child needs additional help and or needs to possibly seek a physicians help or other educational avenues. .......but, in all fairness to the director, whatever may have been suggested, was for the betterment of not only that particular child, but his/her fellow classmates as well. I would strongly encourage anyone seeking a school thst is tightly run to make an appointment when the director is in house for a more personal meeting. One year ago I searched on Google for a good preschool in the area of Coconut Creek, I came across this horrible place and decided to enroll my baby, HUGE mistake. the very First day of school I decided to pick her up around 1-2 pm, and the very first thing I see is my baby crying and asking me for water desperately. Immediately I noticed her lips were dried and she didn't look ok. I talked to my husband and we decided to take her next day again to try it out one more time. The second day I went to get her it was around 3-4 pm, and the first thing I noticed is blood in her shirt, she was hot and her lips all dried again, all she said to me was "water". I ask about the blood and no one could explained, I still keep that paper were they wrote down this issue with the blood. This people are full of lies and they are very irresponsible with the kids, they do not give them water and they could care less about your child. I even did a police report and I would post all of this information so that everyone out there is aware about this place. Don't fool yourselves with the "good" reviews, because they are all fake and full of lies. This is the worse place you can trust to leave your precious child. Next to this place there is another preschool and they have cameras inside they even give parents a passcode to access the cameras from home or smartphones, that way you can see your child during work, is more expensive but is worth to know how your child is being treated. All I know about this place and from the experience I had is that is should no continue to be open. Until this day I feel like the worse mother for taking her back again for that second day. I tell my family, friends and anyone I talked that is looking for a preschool about how horrible this place is and I will continue to do that, because I don't want any other child to go thought what my baby did. just thinking that she didn't drink a sip of water during the 8 hours she was there brakes my heart until today. The second day I took her to the Doctor right after I noticed the high fever, the doctor said she had signs of dehydration as soon as he saw her. Be aware and God Bless you all read more
