One of the worst schools in my history of being a mother. I had such high hopes until one incident…read moreoccurred where one child was hurt and the school closed temporarily and went through an investigation. A teacher and a teacher's aid were removed. After some time the school reopened. About a month after reopening the teacher that was removed was reinstated. My child was not involved in the incident and continued to attend. Upon speaking to a teacher during an interview I discovered awkward body language which told me there was more than meets the eye. About a couple of months went by and there was a new teacher's aid. She was not introduced to the parents. This woman did not look friendly which lead me to further investigate without the help of the school. At the students' graduation the school administrators Irene and Shirley and this particular woman that went by the name Ms. Janet did not not show up to celebrate this special moment with the students. Red flags After the last of school, I was contacted by a fellow parent stating that something serious happened at the school. I was told that Ms. Janet was hitting the children. The students were being abused by this monster. The following thought was the teachers have to have known. It broke my heart and made me mad. I write this review in hopes that you think twice about sending your child to this school if it ever reopens in the future which I hope it does not. The administration consist of young irresponsible women who do not have enough information to offer when it comes to staff members. Just a lot of ummmm uhhhh a Hamina ahamina and made up nonsense. And SHAME ON YOU TEACHERS FOR NOT PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN FROM THIS MONSTER. Kudos to the student that bravely spoke out. This review does not warrant an arrogant response. Police reports have been made to support this review.

My daughter attended Aleph Bet for 5 months and I decided to not return in the fall this year for…read moreseveral reasons. They provided 1 day notice to parents about extensive demolition and construction while school was in session. Kids were moved into a basement room instead of their usual space. To take it one step further, they were painting right next door. We were very concerned about the paint smell and brought this up to Shirly, who assured us that it was fine. When we picked her up it really smelled like paint within the children's room. Several days later major demolition started in the building. There was a lot of dust in the common lobby. As we became more concerned of possibly hazardous conditions we asked the owners if any tests were conducted prior to starting demolition. Specifically if they tested for lead paint and asbestos, since it's a building from the 60's. They refused to share the results. I am in contact with the EPA and department of health and hygiene regarding this matter. Also, see picture of the children's bathroom, this is the only one (looks friendly, right?). I was not shown the bathroom during my tour and made the mistake of not having asked to see it. When I was ready to start potty training with my daughter I discovered this bathroom which looked more like a janitors closet and decided to postpone potty training. Hygiene is important and I would not want my child in a tight space with dirty mops and buckets within arm's reach. Also the light bulb wasn't working when I took this picture. Their yard is a nice play space, however it is infested with mosquitoes. My child came home with new bites ever day. The yard is lined with old AstroTurf that holds water for days. Instead of fixing the problem they sprayed the kids with bug spray daily. The last straw was when they refused to return my deposit of $880 after I decided to not bring my daughter back in the fall. When I registered my daughter it was based on the calendar dates they provided in the contract. After I realized the calendar was inaccurate and the dates did not work with my schedule I asked for a refund since my daughter would not be returning in the fall. When I confronted them they dismissed their error as a "clerical issue" for which I should be held financially responsible. They used words like "extortion" when I insisted on a refund of my deposit and "slander" when I was transparent about my plans to leave a negative review. Both of these are illegal and I don't think I've entered any criminal activity by writing my opinion, wanting to know if my daughter may have been exposed to any hazardous dust and asking for a refund based on an inaccurate contract which they provided. I will say that the staff provided good care to my daughter for the time she was there. Ms. Jenny, Ms.Cindy and Ms.Gina we're always great.

I enrolled my daughter at this daycare at the end of September 2025 after being referred by another…read moreparent who had a positive experience. Unfortunately, my experience raised concerns about communication and transparency. I wasn't allowed an in-person tour and was only shown the classroom via a security camera. Staff did not provide a parent handbook, safety policies, or a schedule/menu/activities, even after I requested them multiple times and explained that other daycares usually provide this information. At enrollment, I explained that my daughter is sensitive about being wiped due to a prior experience; staff didn't express concerns at the time. A little over two weeks later, she was returned in soiled underwear even though she appeared cleaned and had a change of clothes available. The day before, my mother and I mentioned seeing a rat run across the outdoor entryway, which appeared to upset the owner. When I called the next day to ask about the hygiene incident, the owner said staff didn't want to assist my daughter with wiping because of what I had shared and ended care, stating my questions made staff uncomfortable. I was never informed of this decision before that call. When I returned to collect my daughter's belongings, I saw a child's table break in the front classroom area near the entryway -- a space all families walk through when entering. My daughter didn't express negative experiences, but I left with serious concerns about transparency, sanitation, and how parents' questions are handled. If you value clear communication and consistent policies, this daycare may not be the best fit.

Loving, Trustworthy, and Like Family!…read more Both of my kids have been at this daycare since they were 9 months old, and it truly feels like a second home for us. The baby room staff are amazing -- especially Mrs. Bahora, who cared for both my children with so much love and patience. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and that makes all the difference. Mrs. Karen, Mrs. Maybe, and Mrs. Yuliana are also wonderful -- they're so kind and nurturing, and they take the time to help the kids learn and feel confident. The daycare is always clean, the meals are homemade (and smell delicious!), and the environment feels very safe and organized. One of the things I love most is that they're open almost all year -- they only close a few days, which is such a big help for working parents like me. They also keep great communication with families. There's a group chat on WhatsApp where they send pictures and videos of the kids, along with updates throughout the day. It really helps me feel connected even while I'm at work. The owner, Mrs. Linda, has always been kind and helpful with any questions I've had. She communicates openly and makes me feel completely at ease leaving my kids in her care. Over the years, I've seen how much effort she and her team put into everything -- from safety to fun learning activities. My kids love the music classes, and the older group has amazing teachers like Mrs. Sitora, who puts on beautiful Christmas and Mother's Day performances. You can really see how much time and love goes into helping the children learn and grow. I'm so grateful to have found this place. My children have learned so much, and I've always felt supported as a parent. Every experience can be different, but for our family, this daycare has been nothing short of wonderful.

At first I was very pleased with this daycare. My mother-in-law watches my son but at 2 1/2 I was…read moreconcerned that my son was not around other children. This center appealed to me as it was close to home and they were prompt to respond to my inquiries and I was able to pay a daily rate as I only needed him to go twice a week. A few months ago we took my son to see the place and to visit. The staff was nice and the owner Nora was very nice and answered all our questions. We spent about an hour there and my son wandered around looking at all the toys. The staff was diverse and the other children there were diverse as well, my son is mixed race and I really want him to be around a diversity of people, so I was optimistic about it. Nora asked about my son's behavior and was concerned a little as he had never been in a daycare/school setting before but from observing him she was certain that he would be fine there and that they could accommodate him. My son is not aggressive but high energy and has difficulty sitting still but I was up front about this and she assured me that all children take a couple weeks to adjust and that he would be fine there. Fast forward to today, his first day. My husband dropped him off, and stayed with him for a little bit and he settled in fine. Nora even sent me a picture of him at a table playing. Approximately three hours later she requested that I call her and assured me that Jordan was fine so I would not panic. My husband called and was told that Jordan was running around and his behavior was too hyper and he was not responding to their redirection and that he was distracting the staff from the other children and that they would not be able to accommodate him moving forward and that they would refund our money including our reservation fee. They then suggested that we should have him evaluated, at 2 and a half after his first day ever at day care surrounded by strangers in a new environment.(yes please read my sarcasm) My mother-in-law had to go and pick him up and bring him home. I gave two stars as they did refund our money and they were easy to contact; but I can't understand how a daycare that has been open for 17 years cannot accommodate a rambunctious 2 year old. As far as I was informed he didn't act out aggressively, he didn't bite or hit anyone, he didn't even cry. He just wouldn't sit at circle time or lay down to nap. And to suggest that there was something so wrong with him to need an evaluation was very concerning to me. I am glad that this happened early on so we can find a more nurturing and patient daycare that is willing to actually work to help my son transition. Adding today after a little bit more info: My mother-in-law picked my son up and she stated that he was standing up with his blankie being quiet in the room for 3-5 year olds and the other kids were on cots sleeping, the toddler room had toddlers watching a movie on the TV. I don't want to jump to conclusions but part of me suspects that they assumed his age based on how he looks (he is very tall at 38 inches for a 2.5 year old) and he was therefore placed in the wrong age group room. He should have been in the toddler room. This would explain why they thought he needed an evaluation because he would have appeared significantly delayed if they thought he was 3.5 when he is barely 2.5.
