A prosthodontist is supposed to be the "go to" dentist when other dentists with less training fail you in some way. Dr. Tindal portrays himself in his video on his website as a compassionate and caring dentist with advanced specialty training. In reality he is uncaring and dismissive and would not even help me with my unfortunate case from a different dentist (poorly done fillings resulting in 2 cracked molars that may sadly need crowns). I was seeking several opinions about my situation and thought Dr. Tindal would be perfect to help me in this area. I sent him complete details of my case including X-rays and photos via email before my scheduled appointment. He literally had the receptionist cancel my appointment and send me an email that they would not be able to take my case at this point. What is he afraid of?...Stepping on someone's toes? Isn't this his area of expertise...Crowns? No explanation, nothing. He let his receptionist do the dirty work and wouldn't even get on the phone with me...weak again. I'm a retired doctor who worked in life and death situations and this guy can't even handle a tooth controversy. Wow, imagine if this kind of person had to fight for our country. Dr. Tindal is not a stand-up guy. A bit weak, wouldn't you say? Dr. Thomas Doan, my other consultant, received the same information and was very cool about everything, unafraid, took my case no problem and gave me his opinion. Very, very bad experience!!! Very judgmental dentist who told my mother she could take her money to another dentist and tried telling her that her pain was all in her head. One of the most weird and uncomfortable experiences we've ever had, let alone with a dentist. Very unpleasant and most importantly unprofessional encounter. Couldn't believe what a problem it was to deal with him. I felt bad for his wife, who also works there, as she watched him self destruct in front of all of us. However from the face she was making we weren't the first client she's witnessed her husband mistreat. I was embarrassed for her while being equally aggravated and upset. Honestly I have no idea how he stays open and keeps clients. Take his advice and take your money to another dentist! read more

I am finally retired, and finally, a Florida resident. A full mouth restoration is on my agenda. I research the best dentist/prosthodontist prospects and find Tindal a repeated suggestion. On my early visits for consultations and evaluations, I'm convinced the entire staff must be visiting the nitrous (aka laughing gas) supply closet. They are all so happy, pleasant, and accomodating. I surmise I'm not in NY anymore. But it's more than that, reflective of Ben and Maria's personas and their business philosophies; the Tindal crew genuinely care about their patients. I just finished my work with Dr. Tindal office today, I had 3 crowns, 1 implant, and a front bridge. This was the 4th time I have had my front bridge done over the last 20 years (not by Dr Tindal) and the last time because it is beautiful. I came to Dr Tindal almost a year ago in the middle of the day, at that time I didn't know the office was closed that day. Not only did they open on there day off, Dr Tindal completely transformed my smile. I was referred to Dr Tindal because my Denist could not handle the problem he created and previous problems I had. Needless to say I am a nervous wreck at the Denist office. I have severe Tinnuits so I am not easy to work on do to the noise issues I have. The team at the office are there for you every step of the way, with phone calls emails & text they are always very professional. There are no words to describe how happy I am with the work that Dr. Tindal and his team have done for me. So I am going to try to post a photo! I'm so excited to have my smile back. I was referred to Dr Tindal by my regular dentist after having some issues that were beyond her capabilities. Since I knew my dental work was complex I was nervous about having to see a specialist. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment I was put at ease. Not only did I have a good (and painless) experience in the dental chair but I can't say enough about the office staff. No Sir! BUYER BEWARE!! Worst dental experience ever. Not only did he refer me to his friends and classmates, but they both made up a story about bone grafting reattaching to already failing implants. Another $5K. Very slick. He also burned me. Yep that's right, his malfunctioning equipment burned me and i was left with a big blister. He talked about evidence based treatments and did the exact opposite. Dental implants are not permanent. $$$$$$ The doctor you choose is 80% of whether you have success or failure:-( If they fail you can be left with no other alternatives. Find the best doctor you can, and stay clear of this guy. If you do complain his secretary will call and chide you, and then his wife will start sending you emails. Crazy crazy crazy. Oh my! Dishonest and scary. There are so many dentists around don't get caught here. He not only lied about the fact that bone will reattached to my already existing implants, but he then referred me to his friends and former classmates that agreed with his nonsense. I went to get a second opinion from a renowned specialist who described this as fraud. Yes they have massage chairs and TV, but your teeth are the only ones you will EVER have. Implants, for some, can help, but they are NOT permanent and don't be fooled. read more

Great experience. Dr. Tindal fixed a chip in my front tooth that other dentists have not been able to fix. I came in for a cleaning and instead of making me come back for another visit, he managed to fit me in the same day. The whole staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Very BAD experience with this dentist! Originally went to him for a crown to be placed over a new implant. He insisted on taking lots of pictures of me and my mouth as well as X-rays. Very weird feeling! Being a cancer survivor I did not feel comfortable about the need for extra X-rays. He did find additional problem, however he had to send me to 2 more dentist (more expense). Every time I was in his office he would find something else he could state was critical to get fixed. I always took care of my teeth and felt he was just concerned about the financial welfare of his lucrative business. His fees are substantially higher than other prosthondonists in the area. I never did get the crown simply because of above feelings and trust issues. It's now been 3 months. Do your homework before choosing! read more

I went to him for two crowns and had eight months of mouth pain. I went back for an adjustment and they still hurt. I finally had them replaced by another dentist who charged 3/4rds of what Tindal charged for the original work. I asked for my money back and of course he refused saying I should have kept coming back for adjustments! I have had many crowns and NONE caused the pain these did and NONE needed even one adjustment, let along two. Beware his fancy office and "saccharin" girls all named Brittany. read more
