Sunrise does not have the showy feel of a high end massage business but the massages are excellent and far exceed the price paid. Pleasant ladies working on a Sunday evening.

I told my 13 year old that she should go into the room with her sister if I was still in for my massage . Shortly after my own massage began there was inappropriate contact. Private parts rubbed against my arm several times. I was initially unsure if it was a thigh or private part but felt very uncomfortable and moved my arm. The contact stopped and a few minutes later she asked again which daughter needed the massage and I then said ,as I was feeling uncomfortable and questioning the contact, that she did not have to get it done today. She began to talk about how many minutes and pointed to in the room and I asked if she could come in the room with me. She said yeah. When she left to tell the other girl ,my daughters and the other women were in the waiting room and I got up and opened the door to say she did not have to get a massage. My daughters then sat in the waiting area. At another point during the massage I got up to give my daughter a phone and to check that they were still in the waiting area. After leaving my daughters told me that they called her into the room before I came out and motioned that she should take off her shirt and lay down and then she left the room. At that point thankfully my daughter told my older daughter she didn't want to do it and they left the room. I feel that although that is common for a massage to unclothe, I was clear that my CHILD was only getting her shoulders/ neck massaged and that undressing at all would not be necessary and make her uncomfortable.. As for the inappropriate contact my sister also confirmed that she felt uneasy and had the same thing happen during her massage. I hope that this place can be shut down and no one else is made to question themselves or to be made uncomfortable or to fear that their children can potentially be harmed.

Also it was my first appointment when I booked I got no less then 15 texts and emails and j filled them out it was very confusing. Was told to arrive on time unless I needed to fill out forms I show up on time and show them the forms on my phone they don't have them. They deduct the time from my massage. Not a way to win new clients. My woman massage was in the hall way (seen her on my way to bathroom) seemingly very anxious talking to herself while she prepared (so she wasn't ready when i arrived anyway) she left me for an extended time to undress, asked for water she forgot, you won't get a full hour here no matter what as they deduct the time for them to get ready. Had an injury she worked on that area but was a little to harsh with moving it expecting me to be able to move it as normal. Check out was all about rebooking me even when I said I needed to see if it had even been helpful and then to pressuring me to use a male there. Wasn't thrilled, won't be back, never tell someone they need to move past a value they have

Dorel is a magician. My wife and I met him at the Griffith Park Half Marathon back in 2015 - while…read morehe only gave us a 5 minute demo stretch, his work lasted all 13 miles and made a lasting impression on us. Fast forward to this past November when I injured my IT band: During a back-to-back 10k / half race series, I pushed myself a bit too hard; combined with the abnormally cold weather and steep incline grades, I strained my left IT band with significant pain in my lower calf, knee and mid thigh. After confirming the injury with my doctor (who did nothing but recommend resting and vitamin d), I took the next 3 weeks off - just working out my upper body and using the stupid hand cycle to keep up my cardio. This was extremely inopportune timing as we had another race series in January. After the 3 week hiatus, I tried to run again, albeit slowly and was only able to complete 6 miles. Now in panic mode, due to the upcoming 51.7 mile race series, I found Dorel's business card and gave him a call. He immediately fit me into his schedule and we planned to meet the next day. After ONE, one hour session, I could already feel my tight IT band relaxing. He used a variety of techniques targeting my IT trigger point and managed to work out the injured muscle and tendons. While it was grueling at times, it was 1,000% worth it to fix this injury. Dorel also gave me a sheet on stretches, recommendations for the week leading up to the races and his personal cell phone number in case I had any issues or questions. As you can see from my attached image, my wife and I were able to run all 51.7 miles. I had ZERO pain in my leg or knee. Truthfully, I was a bit skeptical about my recovery - having taken 3 weeks to rest / stretch my leg and then only able to run 6 miles - I couldn't fathom how an hour of massage therapy could get me race ready in less than 1 week. I am so thankful that we met Dorel - these 5 races would NOT have happened without him. If you have any injury, I cannot recommend him enough!!
