St Cyrils

I went in looking for books. They don't carry books, I was told with some irritation. I get that…read morethey can't sell what isn't stocked, but I also got some vibe from the two employees that were there that I was bothering them. One guy dismissively told me to go to one of the other stores on Speedway or order online. I didn't get the impression from either employee that they wanted me as a customer, or anyone else as one.

Terrible customer service. Husband and I stopped in to look…read moreat a few different guitars and ask questions. Not one of their employees could give us a straight answer on anything. When it came to financing, we were asked to come back to speak with the manager. We were not given a specific time when"the manager"would be back. We were told to call before coming to the store. Calling ahead of our visit(s), we were told the manager "went somewhere real quick & he should be back in 20 minutes". We went to the store 6 times and got nowhere. We never met this "manager". It is unclear who actually works there. Nobody wears name tags or identifies themselves and its hard to tell who works there from who's just hanging out. I'm guessing their employees wear black shirts because that's all that makes them stick out from other people in the store. Even so, I spoke with 2 people I thought were employed there, who turned out to be waiting to take lessons. On our last attempt to speak to the manager, an employee (guy who wears denim shorts & flip flops, always has a drink in his hand and doesn't stop talking enough to let you speak) (Presumably Alcoholic) handed us a small pamphlet. He said "call the company and talk to them", with no explanation as he walked away mumbling. He gave us no information and wasn't sticking around to hear our questions. We went outside to call the finance company. According to the Finance Company, they have no record of any dealings with Lessons N More. So... I'm not sure what's up with that. I think the store is only good for teaching lessons and not much more. Talking to these people is like pulling teeth. Nobody knows anything about what they are selling. I spoke to the young balding guy and he "wasn't sure about anything man, I just work here". He creeped me out and he stank like weed. I think he was an employee only because he was standing behind the counter peering at us every 15 -20 minutes and would grunt occasionally and respond to you with "dude, totally". Other than that, that's all he did. Its really a shame because we were considering a large purchase. We wanted to buy 2 guitars, 1 bass and a half-stack. If your considering a large purchase, don't go there. They also have a really strange return policy (No cash back) but do offer in-store credit. They also have an area called "The Bargain Bay" which is confusing itself. Nothing is labelled and its mixed with broken worn cases and old gear that may or may not be for sale. That section is a mystery. once again nobody who works there can tell you anything about it. We were left standing there scratching our heads. After repeated attempts to figure out what's what in that section, my husband started to move things and began looking around in between the cases and amps. (Help yourself at this point). Every item we had questions about we were told " that belongs to someone" or "that's been sold". I'm not sure what's for sale and what's not. Waste of time and extremely frustrating. And when you do get an employees attention, you can't hear yourself yelling to communicate from all the noise from the bar next door and the never ending drum solo down the hallway. So now your yelling and not getting anywhere. Just don't go in there. This place is just as bad, if not worse than, Stix N Strings. Save yourself some patience and go to Guitar Center. Less trouble and more reliable.
