Look forward to see what they do. Rumor is they may do something with the bar/restaurant area. As of early 2024, the hotel is no longer part of the Quality Inn or Choice hotel group so reservations through the hotel or booking or Expedia. As of my stay nothing had been worked on but it's clean and adequate, with a fridge and microwave in the room. I'll return in 2025 and update this

Our drive was a long one, so we decided to arrive the night before picking up the pup the next day, and that meant bringing our 90lb airedale terrier along with us-- which ALSO means... we needed a place that would permit him! I always go out of my way to shout-out Big-Dog-Hospitable Businesses... because it TRULY means so much that you allow us to stay intact as a family while out in the world... and Quality Hotel Americana Nogales is no exception with reasonable rates and a remarkably reasonable nightly dog fee of $16! They were completely hospitable, the room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfy and ample, and everyone was content. The lobby is expansive, and a nice place to just decompress, although they also have a nice businesses center/ office, adjoined bar (with Karaoke on Friday nights!!!!), dining room (with a SENSATIONAL complimentary breakfast-- which has it ALL... cereals both hot and cold, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausages, waffles, bagels you can toast, PB&J, bananas, oranges, and mmmmmhmmmm biscuits and gravy that are PERFECT!). Parking is ample and the lot is big, the hotel is a block away from the police station and Civic Center Annex, so there's grounds to walk your dog during the day, though my husband and I were a bit cautious about walking around during the night-- just a vibe we got. Oh yeah... they also have a gym, which has everything you need for a simple workout: treadmill, bike, weights, tv-- I definitely utilized it while I was there and felt soo accomplished! The staff are completely welcoming and helpful. And they loved my Big Dog! (Though they missed seeing my new puppy!) Thanks for a perfectly easy no-brainer stay before our big day!

Checking in may data was still in their system. Check in was typical and the rack rate was $80. I was put in the rooms facing the parking lot, which was convenient for me. Some complain of freeway noise or early morning departures of other guests but it's never bothered me. If you are staying more time or want more quiet, request a room facing the inside courtyard, pool area. If you have trouble with stair, make them aware of that fact so you can be given a room on the parking lot level. The room was clean. Why just three stars? It's just old and dated inside. The blackout curtains did close enough to shut out the 5:30 AM sun. The mattress was passable, the sheets and towels of lower quality. The old furniture that held the big tube TV was still there and empty, a small screen TV mounted to the wall above it. Temperature was not an issue. In fairness to the future, I noticed a big dumpster and many room being remodeled. As of May 2022, they were working through the hotel a section of room at a time. God willing, I'll have an updated review sometime in the future.

While the hotel staff was helpful when I…read morechecked in, I got to my room and it smelled like someone smoked a dozen packs of cigarettes. I went down to change rooms. They told me that they are a non smoking hotel, and I said, I'm sorry, you might be, but someone was smoking in that room. So they did give me another room but let me tell you about the rooms... they are old, the carpet is ripped, the tile is broken, the plugs were missing in the walls--I was shocked but because I had planned on catching a feral cat and bring it back, I decided to stay one night (even though I paid for two). I came back after visiting with friends and went to take a shower. The shower took almost 10 minutes to get lukewarm, but I took a quick one. When getting out of the shower, someone banged on my door. I called out, saying the room was occupied, but this person proceeded to try to bust open the door! Thank God there was a latch that they couldn't break through or they would have busted the door!! I yelled at them to leave and then proceeded to throw my clothes on and go down and get the heck out of that hotel! Not only did I not stay either night, they wouldn't refund me my stay. I told them I'd pay for the first night, but not the second and certainly not the pet fee, as I never brought the cat there. Because I prepaid, I couldn't get anything back, so lesson learned. They have a nice restaurant attached to this hotel so I was shocked to see what a horrible, nasty place this was, one that is NOT SAFE to stay at! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!! For the record, I normally don't leave bad reviews but I feel that people need to beware of this place!!

When you sat down the mattress crushed down to the base & you could here the springs & feel them when lying down. We had a dog with us, so we chose to stay there & it's close to the border. The area is not good. I didn't let my wife go outside at night, to walk the dog. Next time we'll stay a little further north & in a better area. They provided only a thin blanket on the bed with thin bed cover. We used body heat to stay warm. We did not want to use the heater. It was an older unit & the cooler nights were just starting; did not want the noise or possible smell from it, burning clear? The room was clean; they allow a dog; but won't stay there again.

This motel 6 was not particularly horrible like others we have been in but could definitely use some adjustments to housekeeping standards. Personally my bed was not completely uncomfortable and I did manage to sleep through the night where as other co workers had rather firm and springy mattresses that felt like laying on a box spring with a little give to it. My room appeared as tho it may have been recently updated. The reason for 3 stars is that the towels were very thin and not all the same white color which is unappealing in itself and I allowed most of my body to air dry because of it. My shower was a stand up shower in the corner which seems like the standard for this particular motel, the floor of the shower seemed kind of dirty and once I rinsed it and hoped in to shower I noticed a bit of mold growing on the shower curtain which is pretty nasty especially already being naked and in it, so obviously my shower was cut short. The floor was dirty and there was a roach in my room. My tv was crooked which isn't a deal breaker and I fixed it the best I could but someone with worse ocd than me it would probably bother. Additionally the walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors tv and anything going on around me. I don't have high expectations for motel 6's and again I have stayed in worse ones so if you are looking for a cheap motel and just a place to lay down this isn't the worst choice but if I had to choose for myself or if you have the option, I would definitely recommend looking at other options in the area.

The young lady who checked us in, Danielle, was very kind and spoke pretty good English. She remembered my friend from the last time he was there. Check-in wasn't until 3 PM but they had at one of our rooms available at 10 AM so I was able to come back and take and nap while my friend was in surgery. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large with a stand up shower. We got 2 rooms for $45 each a night which is a steal. You are only a few blocks from the US border and in the middle of all the shopping, dining, and dental centers that Nogales has to offer.
