The room felt like it could have belonged to an ancient alchemist: nothing seemed forced or out of place. The puzzles surprised me with their ingenuity and inventiveness - I've never seen so much thought put into escape room puzzles even from big companies. The fact that the game takes place in one of the oldest buildings in Fort Collins is a cherry on top. We also visited another escape room in Fort Co the next day, and while it was good, it did not feel nearly as authentic and thrilling as this one. Truly the highlight of my anniversary trip. Each of us enjoyed working through the riddles/puzzles and although we were told that the escape success rate was 35%, we were DETERMINED to escape. With that being said, we worked our way through all of the clues and were able to escape. We truly felt so proud of ourselves hahaha. I only wish there was a sequel to it so we could continue the series. Teamwork makes the dream work! ^_^ I highly recommend this Escape Room for anyone in the area :)

I won't reveal any of the "secrets" about the Sole Survivor but there isn't anything to reveal because our group figured out all of the tasks by just touching items to other things to get through the rooms. There was no consistency in the setting or theme of the rooms. The themes included were a cross between Japanese Anime, Egyptian, Aztec, and Catholic. The audio for it was too quiet to hear, which we were warned about, but it didn't matter because the audio instructions didn't play into the puzzles! The text clues that you found also were irrelevant because you could finish them by just touching stuff together! The story was incomprehensible. I'm not surprised they said that there was a 15% finish rate because we just got lucky. The only cool aspect of this escape room is that there was more than one room that you go in. Not worth $40 at all. Side note, they play "What it's like" by Everlast when you finish the escape room, which was so random and out of place it was the cherry on top of this dumpster fire.

There are a large variety of ropes to choose from. -There are 4 autobelay options I believe -There is also a lead climbing area. -Of course there is also a bouldering area which seemed like quite a few choices, but they were busy working on it today so there was not much of it open to use. -They have some sinks out by the climbing wall so you can go wash your hands and not have to take off all your gear in order to wash your hands. Cons: -Price! holy smokes $46 for me and my daughter climb for 2 hours. Yikes!!! this is more than i pay for my gym membership for my entire family for a month......... That does not include gear rental either as we have our own so we didn't need any of theirs. If you want or need gear it will be more. -You will need to fill out the waiver upon entering not a big deal but their ipad system makes it a little tough to get through. -If you want to do more than bouldering you will need to take a test for top rope and also watch a video for autobelay. Okay fairly standard. However, they failed to mention until after I paid that 1. they were working on the bouldering wall so not much available there. 2. The guy couldn't leave the front desk and no one else was available so can't do the auto belay training either If a good chunk of things are not going to be an option and obviously we are not a regular maybe make sure you let people know BEFORE they pay. We did do the top ropes test. It will take between 5-15 minutes depending on you. I just felt jipped because we did not have the option of using anything and I paid what I felt like was a LOT of money! They could have at least told me upfront that hey you wont be able to use the auto belay and a lot of our bouldering is tore up so probably can't use a lot of that either. I may have made a different decision and went elsewhere. Anyhow. I guess my impression from last time 2 years ago about to this time was not much different.

Whetstone Climbing is a new climbing gym in the Fort Collins/Loveland area. The facilities are…read moremodern and there is a very ample amount of space for sport climbing, bouldering, and working out. I very much enjoyed my experience at Whetstone and I thought the service and amenities were good. The overall setting was decent. Expect slightly stiffer ratings than other gyms in town but still not overly so. One slight concern I had if I were a regular would be the route turnover- it did not seem to be the same as Ascent, the other gym in town and routes stayed up a bit longer. I think the setting at Ascent is maybe a little better but it's hard to really tell given I only climbed 8 sport routes here vs. years at Ascent. The rates seem fair. $17 for a day pass is cheaper than superior gyms down in Denver. Membership rates seem about the same as Ascent and if I were living in Fort Collins, I'd likely just go to whichever gym was closer to where I lived. The community is friendly and I thought the idea of a bar/coffee area is smart. Definitely hope that Whetstone succeeds as a gym.

I loved this experience. The place is really family friendly and has a really cool story behind it. I did the Titanic, and it was really fun. Everything was super hard in the best way. I found it really cool because everything tied together in the end. My team couldn't of been better. They made sure to include everyone. This is great to do over the summer or if you were visiting. The emotions that I went through were interesting. This was my first escape room ever, and honestly, at first, I was pretty nervous. Then, when I met everyone there, I was way more confident. In the actual game, I felt totally included and like I contributed to the team. Also, it was exhilarating. Afterwards, I felt accomplished because my team and I had gotten out with three minutes left. Time Escape Loveland is Ah-Mazing! We were treated so kindly at the door and everything was perfectly explained! Our experience in the 80's Escape Room was a blast! When you walk in the door, it's like stepping into your high school bedroom with all things '80s that you can imagine!! The riddles and clues kept us on our toes right to the very end...but we escaped with 4 minutes left!! We'll be back!!! A big shout out to Miss Hadley, our hostess! Very presumptuous business. They discriminate against groups of 3 or less (including couples). If you won't give them money for at least 4 people, they won't let you book. Very greedy and bad way of doing business. 2 people, that's only $56 throw it in the trash, we must have 4 people book all at the same time or you can't do the room. Greedy greedy greedy. If a couple wants to try on their own, why not let them? Because they are greedy greedy greedy and think they are the gods of escape rooms. read more

We attended our first Escape Room for our friend's 40th Birthday Party. We did the 80's Room at Time Escape in Loveland. Not as easy as we thought, but even more fun than we even imagined. The Hull family puts on a wonderful 1 hour of entertainment for all ages. Go-enjoy an hour of intense thinking, working together, and suspense with a group of friends. The first time we did it with family members aged 23-55 and the second time with coworkers everyone had so much fun, and I think all are hooked! The room itself was fantastic--great props, creative storylines, and it kept us engaged the whole way through. The hour flew by! We did the Dragon's Egg room, which was so much fun. The storyline was easy to follow, and the puzzles offered the perfect balance of challenge and excitement. We will DEFINITELY be coming back soon!

The clues were well hidden and we were all surprised we actually needed clues to get through it. Got out with 51 sec left (after 5 more pity minutes) We will 100% be back!

Wow! What a horrible attitude the worker Steve had! We had a good time doing the actual escape…read moreroom, with my wife and 2 friends. There are rules posted EVERYWHERE even inside the rooms reminding you to be gentle with the things inside. We are all in our 30's. We are 2 married couples. We were incredibly respectful of their belongings. Everything was fun until we came out of the room. Steve said we were the "worst wrecking ball" he had ever seen. There is no freaking way. Now, he is calling us leaving voicemails and trying to say we damaged property there. He was very rude both after the escape room and also on the phone. He said he considered charging us for damage, but then instantly changed his mind because he KNOWS WE DIDN'T DAMAGE ANYTHING. Steve was super unprofessional in every aspect of this transaction. He also was horrible at telling us the story about the escape room before hand. He has ZERO enthusiasm. And then he complained about having to reset the clues in the room too!!! We paid $125 for 4 people to do 1 room. I think that price should include having them reset their own escape room, right? Lol. Ridiculous. NEVER give this place your business. Steve should definitely be reviewed by the owners thoroughly.

They did a great job answering all of our questions, and you can tell they really care about their rooms and their customers. I can't wait to come back and check out the other rooms here!
