Problem: Professionalism This company hires drivers that do…read morenot care about which lane they drive in, cut you off by going straight while they are in a turning lane and then proceed to insult you when you politely tell them that they did so. I hope that this kind of behavior is an isolated incident and that this company can show professionalism when you're not a client too. The owner will try to paint me as someone childish and a liar (as they did on reviews I left in other places), so here in my answer to them : Your drivers go around town with trucks that have your name plastered all over it, if you think their driving does not represent you just as much as their work, I have the feeling you do not understand what a public image is. Also, I do not BELIEVE I had the right of way, I not only had the right of way, but was in the only lane allowing to go straight twice, while your drivers were in a lane allowing only to turn left both times. The intersections in question are St Rémi and Cabot and st Remi and de l'Église. I would encourage you to take the st Remi tunnel yourself, going towards ville Émard. You will see that at both of these intersections, there are only two lanes. Each time, the left lane only allows to turn left, and the right lane to either turn right or go straight. BOTH times, your drivers stayed on the left to go straight, and insulted me when I told them that they were on a turning lane at the second light. I called your office to report that behaviour and left this review. I am not needlessly slandering a business, you employ people that have a reckless behaviour while representing your brand and are unrepentant about it. This is not acceptable in any way or form. You have my name and my phone number, you could have called me at any time to have more information on the situation, but instead, you choose to insult me on the internet ? I'll leave the public form their own opinion on what that means about you.

Needed to move about a room's worth of furniture from Montreal (Quebec, Canada) to Washington DC in…read morea hurry. No small feat considering the cross-border hurdle. ABF made an empty semi trailer available to me within 72 hours of my commitment, and then even allowed me to delay the delivery of the trailer within 24h before the delivery. They also allowed me ample time to load and then to simply call them hours before the cab came to pick up the trailer. Note that our driveway in Montreal was able to accommodate the 28ft trailer. In DC I needed to buy a $55 temporary parking permit for street parking. Although my goods arrived at the ABF warehouse in Maryland within two days, ABF held the trailer for another five days until I was ready to receive them. Key, I think, is to get the local dispatcher's contact info to help coordinate logistics directly, cause your otherwise dealing only with the national call center, which are really helpful, but can only get you so far. ABF was courteous, very flexible, reasonably priced, helpful, and very quick to get my goods delivered Stateside. This is the way to go as long as you are willing to pack everything yourself (and take responsibility for your own packing).

We've always been a fan of supporting small businesses and going with the little guy when we have…read morethe option. So recently, we hired these guys to help us move since they seemed witty and pretty genuine. What a mistake! Bottom line: they were not careful with our things and caused hundreds of dollars in damage. We discovered quite a few damaged boxed but the coup de resistance was a smashed 40" television. When we called to point this out they said "too bad" and that it's all part of the risk of hiring movers! When we tried to argue with them they had the audacity to suggest that we smashed our TV before the move and planned to frame the movers for damage all along! As a final word of warning against us, they said that if we try to take them to small claims court it would be their word versus ours and there are more of them than us so good luck! When we dug a little deeper, it became clear that these guys are neither a legitimate business nor are they insured - which means when they damage something, they wash their hands and walk! Plus, we noticed that in the fine print of their contract they claim that they are not responsible for damages - in particular televisions, which suggests that they have a track record of breaking electronics. If you value your things, don't hire these guys. Get some reputable movers.

I got a quote a month ago and he said he was available for this morning. Last Sunday I emailed to…read moreconfirm, no response. I called Wednesday, left a message, no response. I called again on Thursday and his voice mailbox was full and was not accepting any more messages. I emailed him again to CANCEL the truck and had to scramble to find another van and some help for my move this morning. Quite a disappointment to say the least. Not very dependable! Good news is that I ended up paying $100 less than what I was quoted by this company for a van and 2 men. So, this worked out for the best. Beware, don't take any last minute chances with these people. I can refer you to Services Bonheur Mini Budget Inc. A. Fofana at 514-616-5005. Tell him I sent you!

I called Argo Transport and asked them to perform a move of a very large TV from my sister's place…read moreto my home. They said they could do it 2 Saturdays from now at 8am or 2pm. The guy asked me to text him the pick-up address and the time I want the move to happen. I texted him 2pm and the pick-up address. He responded with "thank you". On the day of the move, I waited for an hour and a half, and they never arrived at the pick-up location. They broke their word. I texted them at 3:30pm, and they told me they were busy, asking me if I could reschedule for the next day. Except, they never texted me or called to inform me they were busy ahead of 2pm on Saturday, so that was very unprofessional and disrespectful. I mean I cancelled some plans to wait for them, and yet they broke their word like they're not real men. The service came across as discriminatory. It's as if I was not important enough for them to contact me and let me know if they can't make it. I cancelled their service as I don't want to support uncanadian discriminatory unprofessional service like that (their guy had a thick accent when he was talking to me on the phone, meaning he's trying to provide awful uncanadian service in Canada while making a Canadian salary as a false privilege without being qualified for it). I am hiring a different moving company instead. The government oughta shut that business down for their discriminatory unprofessional service (and all similar businesses that don't offer real Canadian service).

I hired these movers to move my belongings from my storage unit in Montreal to my apartment in…read moreToronto, based on the recommendation of a friend. From the beginning they were unprofessional, and I should have fired them, but I was on a tight schedule and couldn't find a replacement in time. The original move date was scheduled for a Friday, until I received a text message that they wouldn't be there until Saturday. I said this was fine, as long as they arrived in the morning, as I had to work that afternoon - they said this would be no problem. They arrived 5 1/2 hours late, resulting in my being several hours late for work. Upon arrival, they refused to unload the truck until I had paid them. I asked what would happen in the event that any items were damaged or missing, and they assured me that everything was there and that it was all perfectly fine. They proceeded to unload the truck (standing on/climbing over other people's belongings in the truck to access my items), with several items being damaged. At one point I inquired as to the whereabouts of my desk, to which the response was "it was broken in half, so we threw it in the garbage." I informed them that the desk was perfectly fine before they got it, and asked at which point it broke - to which I received evasive answers until finally being told that "yeah, we broke it. But it was just from IKEA so you can go buy another one." (!!!) Before they picked up my things, I informed them that the only item that needed to be packed and receive extra care was my record player - it is very expensive and fragile. They assured me that this would be no problem. I then watched them pull it off the truck - NOT packed in a box, and yanking on the cords that were caught under a piece of furniture. I was then informed that they are not responsible for damage to electronics. Finally, I am missing items. One box was delivered to another customer (despite reassurances that this was not the case) - and that customer's items were delivered to my house. This was only resolved by that customer and I setting up an exchange of the boxes, and with no assistance from the moving company. Another box is still missing. They say it is probably in their warehouse but will not confirm this. They will not return calls or respond to emails. There has been no offer of compensation for broken or missing items. All in all, this is the absolute worst moving experience I have ever had, and would not recommend this company to anyone.
