Our preschool students transition to kindergarten with the foundation they need for their academic success, some as early readers. Approximately 95% of our kindergartners leave our program as successful early readers. We track each child's overall developmental progress by building a portfolio for each child over a course the year, infants through kindergarten. The ages of the children range from about 2-6, and they are all together for the majority of the school-day so they have the experience of being with children of different ages. I love De Colores because I feel it's a school where kids can be kids--they get messy doing lots of great art projects and they get dirty running around in the school's wonderful yard out back. I feel very grateful to have found a school where I can drop my daughter off and feel complete confidence in the care she'll be receiving.

The teachers are incredibly interesting people, with diverse and backgrounds that add to the fabric of the school. I feel so lucky to have found De Colores, for both myself and my children.

I had put a deposit down to hold my spot, worth two weeks. (700 dollars roughly). I unenrolled my child a solid 2 months prior to him starting. They would not give me the money back, stating that they now had to fill the spot and that would be difficult. This was pre covid so it was not difficult and there was adequate notice, in my opinion. In fact, I had a coworker who's child was enrolling there shortly after. I understood to an extent. I had put my child on a waitlist at another place and was told there would be a year wait so obviously I went with something else cause I had to go back to work. But when they had an opening, I obviously jumped At the chance! The difference was a 40 minute drive! But imprints didn't care. Even though they had two months notice. They may have fabulous teachers and caregivers! Just make sure you are not ever going to back out of care because you'll be out $700. Which is a lot Of money. And they don't care

We're looking forward to her continued progress through the kindergarten prep program later this year, and intend that she will continue at SCS through the start of kindergarten.
