Our son goes there with his kids. He left their prior church because the kids didn't like it. They are happy here, ages 8, 9, 11 and 12

That said, sermons often feel more academic than pastoral to me, almost like sitting in a college lecture. This is a huge church and still growing--they're currently expanding the building. Because of the size, it can be hard to feel connected. Finding a small group isn't very straightforward unless you go through the membership class, so it takes some effort to find your people. I've had better luck meeting others through Sunday classes and midweek Bible studies. The kids' and youth ministries are a strength. The children's building is bright, clean, and well organized/run, and programs like VBS are excellent. Youth and college ministries also seem active and well led. There are lots of friendly people here, but with multiple services and such a large congregation, it's easy to miss seeing the same faces week to week. The biggest downside for me has been the worship music. The band is skilled + lots of instruments, but the music style feels dated and very same-sounding from song to song. The music stays in the same tempo and emotional lane, which makes it hard to stay engaged especially if you're hoping for worship that is more energetic, contemporary or inspiring. Overall, the theology is solid and clearly rooted in scripture. The church does many things well. It just may not be the best fit if you're looking for a smaller, more connected feel or a more modern worship style. Also, it may simply be working through some growing pains as it continues to expand.

The preaching is expository and spot on. Every Sunday is a learning experience. I recommend it to all who want to learn about Gods word.

Ronnie told me that I should ask for forgiveness for things I had not done so I wouldn't lose my family. I refused, so he authorized payment for my ex-wife to hire an attorney. NEVER GO TO HIM FOR COUNSELING. I believed in this church for years, but the leadership is not good. I went through three years of mentorship in Ronnie's Roundtable. I'm not sure how many men have done that, but it's not a lot. Yet when life got hard, neither he nor any of the other elders deigned to even speak to me. Instead, they took as gospel the word of the woman who had not attended their church for three years. To this day, I'm not sure whether they are wicked or ignorant, except for Randy. That dude is deceptive as the day is long. He only ever spoke to me when he was fishing. Men, NEVER speak to Randy Presley. Larry is worthless. I was his Sunday School (Campus Group) teacher for at least 4 years. When life got hard, he never so much as spoke to me once over the course of years. Men: Don't take your family there unless you want to be subject to church discipline in a non-biblical way in absentia. Women: Absolutely go there if you want the church to pay for your divorce.

The pastor and teachers here are very knowledgable. A great support system if you considering…read moreadoption(adopting and giving up for adoption). Biblically sound teaching, a great place to learn and strengthen your faith.
