The park since they had the revamp is pretty cool. Lots of new stuff for the kids to climb on, and it's all fenced in so they can't run off. They even have a section for older kids as well now. read more

If you're looking for somewhere to let your child run around and burn off energy on a rainy day,…read morethis is the place. They have sectioned areas for kids 2-4 which is great as it keeps them from getting trampled by the larger kids. They have three storeys of climbing and a bouncy slide as well to keep them busy for quite some time sure. My son had his birthday here last year, which is another great idea if you have kids because you don't have to clean up anything afterwards!

It is close to where I live which is one reason I frequent it fairly regularly with my toddler. One thing I wish is that they would offer the parent and toddler group during the other days of the week rather than only Mondays. Sometimes they inflate the bouncy slide during toddler mornings and other times they don't. Their coffee could be better and served in larger cups but that's a complaint coming from a coffee lover so take it with a grain of salt. I do think they could take some cues from other places to revitalize and ramp up the business some more as they seem to just be happy rolling along as they are without improving while other places are constantly striving to increase business with great offers (like loyalty cards), but overall it is great value for money .

The coffee is better (and in bigger cups) than its rival which is a big deal for exhausted parents! The parent and toddler group is open half an hour longer than the other places (running from 10am to 12:30) and offers unlimited free juice and cookies for the kids. This deal is available at a cheap 5 euros per kid and runs Monday through Friday, whereas its rival only offers it one day a week. (For which they have roller skating or other dance party games in the back as well as the playground.) The facility is well-maintained and the play area for small children is conveniently hidden away from the commotion of the bigger kids by a partial wall. There is an inflatable bounce castle with slide, an indoor soccer/basketball area, as well as a very large structure with climbing, slides, ball pits, bridges and other obstacles. The location of the food/cafe area is rather centrally located so it's convenient for parents to chat, have a cup of tea, and keep an eye on things. There are a good variety of choices of snacks and meals for the kids and the bathrooms are decent with a baby changing area included. Most of the staff are quite friendly and helpful with a few duds. The owner is almost present, which is nice. Overall, highly recommend for those gloomy days.

The park has a very small parking lot (6-8 spots?) but there is a public parking across the road. The park, aside from the playground, is lovely, expansive grass area, great for letting the kids run around or play football. Additionally, tucked in a corner opposite the playground, is an adult training area with an elliptical, benchpress and other workout activities, with a paved walkway all around the park perimeter. Well worth stopping to let the kids run free if you're driving through Charleville to Cork/Dublin or even if you're from around here and your kids need to run their sillies off. I took 1 star away because of the lack of parking, along with there being no toilet facilities. As someone traveling through the town, this is a must and sadly not a common occurrence in Irish playgrounds.
