Mr. Ratley and his crew came in, removed the old roof and cleaned gutters in the morning and had the new roof on by late afternoon. They were professional and tidy giving us an incredible sense of security. I remember when we bought this house in 2013, Mr. Ratley was one of the people who came by offering a new roof. We remembered him, not because of the offer but because he was the only one that honestly told us we had a few more years out of our current roof so there was no need to rush if we had other expenses. He left the…read morejob incomplete, overran one of the gutters to an unacceptable length, tried to argue about it when we asked him to fix it, then demanded payment before the job was complete. He claimed we were stalling and that he should be paid immediately. He did the job on 7/4, billed us on 7/5 and didn't complete the job until 7/11. He also charged me for generator rental when there was an external outlet available to use. When I called to let him know that I was ok with his corrections and that I would now be paying him he called me a deadbeat. Speaking from experience, anyone who's ever been screwed over by construction workers knows never to pay until a job is 100% done and to your liking or else they'll never come back to finish. I've learned that lesson the hard way and tried to explain that to Mr. Gibbs but he felt it necessary to call me a deadbeat and hang up on me. What a POS?!? I will NEVER use him again and I will also make sure that everyone I know in the Triad area knows about my experience.
