Personally I thought it was the best sandwich that I've had in a long time. My partner said it was excellent except that the cheese wasn't melted. I also found the regular brewed coffee to be first rate. Service was immediate and friendly. I didn't check WiFi as I didn't need it, but, there was a sign for free WiFi. This is a great place to stop for lunch and the unique venue makes it an interesting experience. I highly recommend Kerri's in Westlock the next time you're in town. It's just over an hour from Edmonton.

Located right on the main road into town this bakery is nestled on the main floor of what appears to be a residential type duplex. Kind of tricky because at first glance it doesn't look like there's a business there. I picked up a couple strawberry rhubarb hand pies (very flaky and so tasty), a few pieces of banana cake with decadent peanut butter icing as well as few pieces of cinnamon roll cake (OMG!). Everything was fresh, tasty and absolutely divine. Every day you can expect a daily soup & sandwich special and the house made baked goods change from day to day. They have cupcakes in the fridge and I also happened to notice that they offer house made ice cream sandwiches!!! YES! The decor oozes country charm and beckons you to cozy up with your homemade lunch or a sweet baked treat. I love the warm & welcoming vibe here and I will absolutely be back to visit with the lovely owner and sample some more goodies!

I stumbled upon the Sherwood Park Bakery and built my airport departure around trying something from the shop. As I walked to the door, 2 others queued up in front of me, but the cashier was familiar and quick with their orders. My go-to donuts are always apple fritters. I saw them on the shelf, but was a bit concerned because it wasn't "knobby" like the ones I've tried at other bakeries. Nonetheless I ordered one and I was surprised! It was still warm, NOT knobby, but the dough was almost like a brioche. There was a sweetness to the smooth texture and a crunchy exterior with just the right amount of glaze. AND, unlike apple fritters in the US, this version had slices of apple which was a welcome change. [The apple bits are usually small cubes down south.] There is no doubt that if ever Edmonton, I would make it a point to return for another apple fritter. AND, judging by what other patrons ordered, the assorted/variety box is a popular choice!

Service is always friendly. The store is often busy with a line out the door, especially on Friday and Saturday after 9 a.m. Here's a few tips to be a better patron and have a better experience: Breads can be ordered online for quick in-store pickup. Some items are made daily, some on certain days only, it's all listed online. They will slice your bread in the store for you if you like. Come as close to opening as possible for best selection, especially on one-off days, e.g. - bagels made only on Wednesdays sell out quickly. They also have a lovely European and Canadian cheese selection! Consider browsing their current cheeses online, as there are many beautiful cheeses but no space to really ogle at them in the store. Come in prepared to avoid hovering for too long in the small customer space. There are a couple other regular non-bread items, like honey, traditional dijon, coffee beans, rillettes/terrine, French butter and recently a small selection of deli meat. One could almost make a mixed charcuterie plate after a quick visit here. Parking behind the business is tight but doable. Street parking is available within quick walking distance in the adjacent neighbourhood. Only d-bags park right out front on 99 Ave, thus blocking an entire lane of traffic. I've noticed it's usually mid-age women in expensive SUVs. Goes with the hood I guess. Eat high-quality bread and be happy!
