We asked the Kitchen to serve us whatever they were inspired with. The start was salmon gravlax and a piece of Doremi cheese served over a leek sauce. This was the highlight of the evening. Then it was boudin and duck. The meats were amazing on the mai s. The vegetables we simply a some thought, simply steamed and fired with a chunk of beet purer. But I asked the waiter to see if they could serve a cheese platter instead of dessert and of course they did!!! Just amazing. I would come back just to chill with the wait!!!

Order at the counter, take a table number and food will be delivered. Several spots to eat but we chose the greenhouse and it gave you the picnic feel! After lunch, we wandered the shop, and found so many treats to take home. We found this on accident and we hope you stop in if you are traveling through !!! It will be a joy to visit - and the barista is amazing! The food was fresh, large portions, and delicious.

I wasn't impressed with the food, but the overall experience adds another star. It's a cafe,…read moregourmet grocery, flower shop, greenhouse and artisans boutique all under one roof. The cafe menu is limited mostly to sandwiches, quiches, salads, and breakfast pastries. I got the Jambon Bio: ham, cheddar, mesclun greens and dijon on a baguette. The amount of ham was really pitiful, I think 2 slices. The greens were boring, only lettuce. We did like the dijon mustard. The baguette was overwhelming for the amount of filling and not the tastiest. Rather disappointing and I thought pretty expensive at $17 Canadian. But it came with soup and salad (no way to order just the sandwich). We liked the soup though, a pureed squash with apple, assertively peppered. Salad? Lol no it was 3 cucumber slices each with a 1/2 cherry tomato on top! In retrospect I should have got one of the hot sandwiches, such as the Croque Monsieur, which looked good on another diner's plate. I liked the selection of soft drinks, and found an interesting fruity soda from a local company. While waiting for our food (order at the counter and they deliver it to the table) and after finishing we perused the grocery. An amazing assortment of gourmet items. I bought two hot sauces that I can't wait to try (didn't get the one made from ants though!) and some tinned smoked fish. Many of the items seemed insanely expensive though. The beer selection was truly impressive; wish I liked beer. Then on to the greenhouse. An amazing variety of plants of all kinds: cactus, ferns, carnivorous, much more. We just looked because we couldn't take them back to the USA, but some were hard to resist.

We've had grilled chicken, spring rolls and Won-Ton soup and it made for a really good dinner. Everything is just so flavourful! You can bring your own wine to complement your dish and the service is amazing if only a little slow (the owner and his wife do all the cooking and serving so don't go there to eat in a hurry, especially during busy times). I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a nice romantic dinner and if you want the taste without the wait they do take-out as well.

If you want a real, locals vibe poutine experience stop here. We had Poutineville (I know) last…read morenight because it was close to our hotel in Quebec City and this was night and day different in all the best possible ways! First they put a layer of curds on the bottom of the bowl (no where else did this from chain places to supposed old school restaurants) then the fresh hot fries then more curds (A LOT) on that then the gravy. The cheese curds squeaked when you ate them. It's set up like a Subway sandwich place, cafeteria tray style so nothing special inside but who cares with poutine this good? They people inside mostly spoke French but also could switch to English and were friendly. They had lots of tables and booths inside and at least 8 tables with umbrellas outside. This is just off the main route heading back to US border for us going home to CT. Will absolutely be our last Canadian stop now before crossing the border. They also have a cheese and gourmet shop attached and they were selling fresh corn in a kiosk in the parking lot (which you can't take back across unfortunately because it looked great). And everyone purchased these cream filled smallish donuts so we probably missed a trick but we were so over full of sweets and pastries from our Montréal/Quebec vacation we just couldn't get any. Highly recommend.

Of course having a true québécois best friend helps as her family lives in Kingsley so they know the best cheese shops so this weekend I got to try the SQUEAKIEST curd cheese of life. Now I know you're all going to say oh I've had fresh and great curds before. BUZZER SOUND .. you're wrong ! The best curd / freshest / squeakiest can only come from this location. If it's not made right there on the spot it's a disgrace wise words from my best friend. You can get Kingsley or guillaume back home but once it gets transported from fresh to cold and hot and cold and hot it just turns out MEH and loses its beautiful taste. So do yourselves a favour and make the drive to this location and grab a large bag for $8 dollars to go and then take a seat and order a poutine.
