He made everything easy on the day of the wedding, and guests commented that they hardly knew he was there (exactly what you want). The pictures he took were beautiful, with the exception of few of the bride pre-wedding that looked a little washed out, although I'm not sure if that was his fault. The one concern we had in working with Sylvain was that he moved after we had hired him and did not tell us. This made us very anxious when we found out from the venue. However, our fears were for naught and everything ran smoothly on the wedding day. The only impact his move had on us was that we weren't able to do engagement photos until the week of the wedding. Overall, hiring is Sylvain to do photography for your wedding is well worth it. However, I would not chose to use his design team for an album or prints. Get the CD and do it yourself. We went back and forth with the design team for literally months on the album, and in each iteration found mistakes they made. My parents were so upset with the initial draft design of their album that they called and asked me just to cancel it (this was our wedding gift to them). Sylvain worked with us to correct the mistakes, but I strongly feel that Sylvain should select a different design team. We've now received both albums, and I feel that the picture quality of the album doesn't do Sylvain's photography justice. Some of the photos are blurry and detail is missing. We got several prints done from another vendor and the quality was much better (so it's not the photos, it's the printer).
