This review is long overdue as I had the pleasure of working with Reaction Photography in the busy…read moremonth of December. When I first started looking for a company to work with, I messaged several different photographers and Carmen was the only person I felt at ease collaborating with. Not only did she reply very quickly, her responses were positive & supportive. I was honestly what one would call a complex client as I was unsure of what I really wanted but that is why Carmen is so great! She helped me execute my vision given my directions were quite vague. When time came for the shoot, Carmen led me throughout the session making it effortless! After an hour session we were able to get many shots AND an outfit change in all the while I was sluggish barely being able to move around much at 38 weeks pregnant! The shoot was a success and after a week Carmen and Ryan emailed me the results. I was very happy with the outcome but requested a couple edits and sure enough they made it happen! I was going through my first pregnancy and I was overwhelmed with all the stress and insecurities that come with pregnancy, however Reaction Photography captured my maternity shots seamlessly! I had found Carmen on Yelp (I'm a big Yelper who listens to reviews) and when I spoke with her on the phone I knew I had found the right person. We were a group of 29 family members, ranging in age from 3 -85 years old . We had 3 sets of families and we needed numerous pictures taken at Gallagher Park. Carmen arrived on time and ready to go. She was professional and truly got every photo we needed. She was calm and helpful and knew exactly what to do. Due to my concern about the weather Carmen was flexible throughout, and was happy to continue taking photos at an inside venue if needed (thankfully the weather was fine and we were able to take all the photos outside). If you are looking for an excellent, creative, professional photographer for any event no need to look further! Carmen is simply the BEST!

Nothing wrong with the pictures (they are just school pictures) but this year, my student's picture was terrific! Kudos for that, but unfortunately there was a change (size change on wallets) in the package that I normally order that was not clearly marked. In the past, I'd been told that you couldn't order more after receipt of purchased package, perhaps that has changed. They did help me fix my dilemma (size was too small for frame) so that was good.

I had been putting off writing a review for Daniel Dunlap Photography - but only because I was…read morestruggling to find a way to adequately describe the awesomeness that is Daniel Dunlap. Working with Daniel was a dream come true for an individual much like myself who 1. Is virtually clueless about photography, 2. Is not a fan of being the center of attention (thus the thought of having someone snapping photos of me all day was a bit unnerving) and 3. Values the importance of having--as cliché as this may sound--a once-in-a-lifetime event chronicled in beautifully memorable imagery. Daniel was hilariously easy-going, incredibly responsive, the stealthiest "fly on the wall" and equally respectful of everyone's time. Not only was he always quick to respond to our many questions and requests (literally within 30 minutes every time we reached out to him), but he was so laid back and confident in his work that it put us completely at ease - making our uncooperative shih tzu the only point of concern throughout both our engagement session and the wedding day. (Side note: Daniel is great with dogs.) Not only did Daniel just "have an eye" for the best, most beautiful and most memorable shots, but he was also so quick(!) - a trait that our families and friends really appreciated, especially when it came to the big group photos. I heard a lot of "That's it? That was fast!" after our family was reprieved from their photo posing duties. But perhaps what I loved most about Daniel was the end result - the photos. I barely shed a tear on my wedding day, but when looking through the moments Daniel captured on our big day--especially the ones we didn't even realize he was taking--I nearly turned into a blubbering child. If that doesn't give you any indication of how incredible Daniel is at photography, I'm not sure what does. I can't sing enough high praises for Daniel Dunlap Photography - he was, without a doubt, one of the best parts of our wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
