During the stop, the officer was asking him questions about transporting illegal drugs from Colorado. Why? No one knows given the stop was for a brake light. He was detained an unreasonable amount of time for a drug dog to show up on the scene, without legal cause. Todd jumped on this fact very quickly. He researched the evidence collected by the District Attorney, including the dash camera video in the officer's car, and used it to have any and all of the evidence thrown out due to an illegal search of the car. The case was dismissed. Todd was very professional, did his research, understood the case and selected the appropriate defensive strategy. During the trail, Todd was very cool and collected. He performed cross examinations of the arresting officer. He guided the responses to match his defensive strategy, leading the officer to admit the delay was due to a hunch (hunches are not a legal reason to detain a person stopped for an unrelated offense). This entire process was very impressive. Todd's office responded quickly to all my requests, via phone or email. This was all accomplished for a reasonable fee. Firstly, my unit has started being deactivated as you read this, it was a failure and our mission was not accomplished. As you can imagine, our workplace became absolutely cutthroat and toxic. As a lower enlisted your hard work is stolen by leadership, their signature put on your work as they try to leave our failing battalion and brigade. In all of this chaos I tried desperately to hold together my workplace, a failing S3, even though my command could care less about my wellbeing as a person. All of this is after a terrible deployment that gave me ptsd and broken bones. BUT I am less than 6 months away from my ets with an honorable discharge, so I keep pushing, even though I can feel my unit does not want to replace me. I ask to take CSP, the career skills program, that allows you to transition into a civilian job during your ets window. The brigade commander put an MPO (restraining order) on me and my husband, so I could not talk to him while I was ETSing, and we could not plan our life. My husband and I are in the same unit. It felt insanely awkward having one of us quickly leave a building to stand outside while the other could come inside. I was worried wether our family was going to be okay, all because I started distancing and focusing on my future. This sounds outrageous, and I understand. I never thought the Army would have been like this, even coming from a family of veterans. I did not know all it takes for an MPO or restraining order is a signature from the commander. I am not the only person in the unit they have kept hostage at work and away from their family, I just fought back. AS SOON as Mr Jordan entered the picture, everything changed. -His paralegals performed all the tasks Army lawyers did..and more. He basically turned everyone in JAG & TDS into a paralegal with his expertise -The original prosecution attorney had to be quickly replaced after she couldn't remain professional/lost her temper in a group email -It was my first time being able to leave work on time and eat my lunch un-interrupted as well; Even if I was bothered, Mr Jordan gave me a legal document to give to anyone for them to contact him directly. This took away so much pressure & gave me peace of mind. I was able to go to work without feeling scared! -He personally monitored my ETS and checked on my progress all the way up until he was able to LIFT the MPO a week before my ets!!! I could talk to my husband! TODAY, thanks to Mr Jordan, I have an honorable discharge, and benefits for our daughter. I do strongly feel like Mr Jordan is personally responsible for our happy family; my husband and I were able to plan our life together, he reassured us the whole time, and now we have a lovely daughter who made all of this crap worth it.
