Kathie not only has clothes, but there are also shoes, purses, jewelry, and all sorts of adorable things. Kathie is so sweet and helpful. She easily found our sizes and let us try on some new items she had just received. What fun! I just loved how our purchases were wrapped in tissue paper and placed in the cutest little bags. Those special touches are some of the things a lady loves about shopping. So happy to have this gorgeous shop in Punta Gorda!

There is an Oak and Stone Restaurant, a huge Foxtail Coffee shop, a Bright Ice Coffee shop, a few other restaurants, Naples Soap Company, a couple boutiques, and a water side restaurant called The Banyan House. It's a great place to hang out with friends and family, & it's also very dog friendly. There are some beautiful bright murals by one of the parking lots, and also by the side of Foxtail. They are building more for restaurants and shops. I can't wait to see what comes up. You can tell it's quite new. There's a lot of building being done around and much open space. It's a great place to walk around the water too where it is nicely paved.

While I was in FL I figured I should look for a new one, since the selection in that sunny state was sure to beat that to be found in my home state of IL, where it will be snowing in approximately 2 months. Because this store is in Fisherman's Village (read: tourist stop) you're probably going to pay top price for a bathing suit here. It's also a fairly small and crowded shop, which makes it a bit hard to dig through racks in some parts. (also the dressing rooms are close and HOT!) That said, I found a super cute bathing suit (retro-looking 2-piece) here. Could I have found a cheaper one at a department store if I looked on sale? Maybe. But I believe in "I found something I like and it fits and looks good, so I am going to buy it now while I see it, because it probably won't be here when I come back" (it's happened too often!) I save time, gas and heartbreak over a few sale dollars. And in this case, I live in another state, so it's a little hard to check back! Just make sure in this case that you DO like it and it fits, b/c FL law prohibits the returning of bathing suits. The lady running the shop was really chill and nice. Anyway, if you're in Fisherman's Village, stop into Island Fever and see if they've got a cure for your swimsuit fever. They cured mine!
