It is miles to the next town and restroom. Not exactly a Buc-ee's, Love's or Pilot, like on the interstate, but it works. You can get the bare necessities: beef jerky, beer, a hot meal and a nature break. One end of the building is the gasoline and convenience store and the other end is the Twin Hills Restaurant. On the front door of the restaurant today a sign," Help Wanted, 2 Cooks Needed." This always worries me when I see a sign like this at a restaurant. Who's doing the cooking today? And, where will they find help way out here? Inside you will find a fairly clean restaurant. Seat yourself. Menus and drink orders handled promptly. My usual. My wife went with one griddle cake and a couple of eggs. My plate was okay. The eggs just a little under cooked and the bacon not quite as crisp as I like. It was good food though. The prices are very reasonable. Daily specials and cobblers! The service was friendly. I imagine the overworked cook staff is hoping to get some help soon. If you are in the witness protection program, cooking here would be a perfect disguise. Consider it. It is a clandestine location and you can stay out of the public's eye, secluded in the kitchen. Similar in name, but not the same. Disappointing, and the reason for minus one star; the Twin Hills Restaurant, is nothing like the old Twin Peaks Restaurants.
