I've been going to Birdhouse the last few months, working on a few projects with Blue. And I can…read moresay from experience that I've never been to a shop where everyone is cool, , from the apprentices, to the other artists , to clients, each and every time I show up for a tattoo the vibes are second to none and everyone is happy with the work they receive. The Tattoo shop is clean, the artists are top notch at their specialties , and they attack every session with a plan. My first tattoo from ShifuBlue was a memorial for the man who raised me, to be honest I was forgetting his face, the portrait that I received is the spitting image of the man who raised me and my relatives all get so happy when they see it. Best collective of artist on the central coast!!!

I wish I would've read the comments from Rad s . An appointment for a simple. Seven word, 8inch x…read more1 inch . From wrist to below inner elbow. $275 !! Letters... no creative design , cut and paste .no Color , no shading and no difficulty. . One hour from start to finish. Most of that time being, him prepping and doing placement on his iPad. I almost puked when he told me how much it was, especially since I was paying cash I set the money down and walked out the door. I am in the Salon studio business. Even with him quoting me $150+ over the phone. I thought plus + what $? OK ,whatever ,I have to remind myself that the economy is different from a year ago from my last tattoo i.e. the cost. I am an overly generous tipper, so thankfully, I walked in with only a minimal amount of CASH , double the amount quoted because I DID intend on adding a few chochkies....not feeling bad , more feeling bamboozled, about giving him just a $25 tip. I felt bad for 30 seconds before I left. Eeeeesh Lordy this is a shot right to the kooter....lesson learned. Get a $$$ finished* amount ~ before the needle hits the skin. Dang it During the phone call I did ask him what his shop fee was and I was just told for the tattoo,I'm looking at $150 / $175 ... Call me I'll give you my dudes number in Encino, the most epic little shop with a rad vibes and of course, the tattoos are legendary I'm just gonna go on living my best life, but throw caution to the wind and get a solid price . Ps he wrapped my arm and plastic wrap. I usually get the saniderm or the Tagaderm since I am a stylist.

I reached out through his website for a quote and Eddie contacted me over text which was incredibly convenient. We connected immediately. I explained what I wanted and when we'd be in town, and we were able to come up with a plan and an appointment. My girls and I got the rock with 6 birds above it, 3 of which are in the foreground to represent us: The Trio. This was the very best tattoo experience I've ever had. It was the 6th tattoo for me. My oldest had never had one before, and this was the 3rd for my youngest. We are all beyond pleased with the results and the experience we had at Eddie's studio. He is such an incredible artist and person. His shop is clean and professional. He was more than welcoming and made us feel like we were old friends. We all bought t-shirts before we left! When the first grandchild is born someday, we will take them to Morro Bay and we will all get a 7th bird added!

Then, my beloved old dog passed, and he made me a gorgeous watercolor of her paw. Both times he spent plenty of time going over the designs and placement in great detail, tweaking things so make sure i was totally happy. His whole vibe is incredibly friendly and chill, and we usually spend the session chatting about life, philosophy, kids, and music; he also has a really light touch which is always appreciated. It took a bit to get an appointment because she's that awesome and yes, that busy. So, plan ahead. Think about your activity and the weather. I was traveling in December and knew I didn't want to focus on new brow care while traveling. Summer wasn't good me for either because ....sun! I arrived on time and Michelle was waiting in the shop. A nice shop she shares with her husband who's also a local tattoo artist. Soon to be in her own new joint though... I've heard. First off is paperwork. It's fast, legal eagle stuff. She takes some time to explain the process. Then it's lie down and left the drawing begin. She drew out a shape she felt matched my face shape etc. She will show you so you can say yay or nay. I said yay. Then it's down to business. First a topical pain cream so you don't feel much. She goes over each brow three times with color. I did not see the tool used but it lays color onto brows, and into the skin. These are my layman's terms! It was pain free for me (except for the plucking part, which I find funny). You can hear skin pulling or scratching as she moves along. I felt very little pain during the process and even later in the day just a little pain was present. The end result was soooo worth the time and investment in myself. I go back soon for my 6 week touch up. People definitely noticed the change and many are asking for her information. Overall fantastic experience. If you are on the fence, pull the trigger you won't be sorry. Using Michelle's photo of my before and my after shots.

I came in assuming he'd work with me to fix it, gasses me up like it's good. First words out his mouth is 40$ or he won't even begin to sketch something up. Keep in mind he's the one I already paid, an the one who messed up the placement. I mean the overall tattoo of these flowers is pretty dogsht, not the kinda creative art you'd expect from someone in this line of work. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt to have a 2cnd shot. But I'm not after this pridefullness. Bro wants another grown man to pay him for something he fckd up. Maybe after it's fixed on my skin. Oh and the vibes. Yea he'll smoke pot on the job pretty sure, cause I smelt it. So if you want a guy who's maybe good maybe not then CHUY is the buddy for you. Oh also I DMd him, an this whole thing started cause I drove 40 minutes thinking he understood that if I didn't see what I'd like this time I'd be backing out.
