First she was too busy flirting with a young man in the back to come out and help me. When I finally asked for help and she turned around and realized I was there. I asked for the mask that I had priced a few hours earlier with a very nice lady who was working behind the counter. She increased the price of all of the masks by 20 euros or more per piece. In fact she priced them without pulling them out and also told me a different price. Seems like she is looking to make a bit of extra money. Then when i questioned the pricing she told me she owned the shop to which i turned and walked out. Before i even walked the ten steps to the door she was already back in the back of the store flitering woth that young man with her back to the store. If it is her store then i reccommend not shopping there. If it isnt her store i highly reccommend that the owners think about getting rid of her. She is skimming from sales and allowing anyone who walks by to walk in and steal whatever they want.

Know that you will need to book about 3 weeks in advance, because it seems like all the spots go pretty quickly so you much plan ahead! But it is worth it because it is a cool place! The rooftop viewing terrace is definitely worth it, what a great view of the entirety of Venice, including the Rialto Bridge which you can see well from the top. The time slots are kind of nice as it limits the number of people out there, giving enough room for getting pictures and enjoying the view. The department store itself is also really cool. An awesome space, the big central indoor area was just a cool place to take in, and if you are looking for some typical Italian clothing, or perfume they have a lot of good options for you. In the summer it is also a nice place to beat the heat! If you can, book in advance and check out this great view of Venice!

For those of us that remember the older style inner courtyard Embassy Suites, this is the retail version. Housed in a centuries old building that used to be for trade, the store is literally in the outer walls. The inner section is this vast 4 story open space with a bar/coffee shop on in the center on the ground. It is packed to the hilt with top end brands and houses and covers the gamut. Service is top notch and to be honest it is a level that makes us (clearly not 1,-2, or even 3% comfortable) almost uncomfortable with its attentiveness. I also give them massive props for not charging and having a well organized method for accessing the roof top terrace and its spectacular views (covered in another review).

These stores or stalls look practically identical; the shop/stall owner may or may not be Italian and they'll be selling the same types of t-shirts, magnets, keychains, Carnevale masks and jewelry made of Murano glass. These souvenirs can be of dubious quality and most likely not be made in Italy. When I souvenir shop for people I avoid those stores like the plague. I try as much as possible to shop locally wherever I go and in most places when I do find a good shop I find it by accident. Feelin' Venice is an example of a local shop. You'll notice immediately as you step in the shop the difference in the layout and content from other souvenir stores. The shop feels more clean, the layouts is more simple and the designs in their merchandise is more contemporary. More importantly you see the people running the shop passionate about both their business and their home city. The shop has the staple T-shirts, bags, mugs and stationery but the designs are obviously more thought out and represent the city well. However this particular business has won me over because this was the store that I bought my most favorite souvenir of my 2 week trip: a rope bracelet with an attached iron prow that adorns all Venetian gondolas. I immediately fell in love with the bracelet at first sight and purchased it immediately. My only regret was that they sold it in only one size. I ended up losing it 2 weeks later and had to order a replacement online in a smaller size. The shop is located somewhere along San Marco. Use Google Maps if you don't want to get lost finding the store.

This was such a beutiful little authentic shop. We purchased a large king size bed spread and…read morepillow covers and they agreed, for a fee, to ship the items to us. We purchased, the experience in store was wonderful, almost a month ago and we have not yet received any communication about our items being shipped. The paperwork given to us has an unusable email address and I am not able to find a store website or way to communicate other than calling which, I will have a friend who speaks Italian help me with soon. Hoping to hear from them about the order being shipped. It was quite pricey but we felt the quality was well worth it. If I was able to get in touch about my order I'd feel much better and this rating would easily be 4 or 5 stars. Just be sure you have a legit way of communicating once you leave the store.

The artist or the craft lady not sure what to call her is super friendly and she doesn't mind trying every thing and taking pictures. She sits their and makes masks in front of you. The place is amazing i wanted to cry not to afford anything there, but still a pleasure to be there and to look at her amazing work. The prices are expensive but absolutely worth every euro. She uses real crystals and the pieces are exotic not like any other shop.
